How ironic that the first African-American president would reinstate a form of slavery by promoting mandatory service in direct violation of the 13th Amendment.

have your boy stand in front of the class with two small jars; one containing red jellybeans, the other with blue jellybeans...and ask the class (while looking directly at the teacher's eyes) if they are prepared for the truth...it may be helpful to watch that scene from 'Matrix' again to get the dialog correct...but I think this would be an attention-getter for his premis-body-conclusion.
Perhaps a mention of Lincoln's greenbacks and central banking...yes, Lincoln was a Hitler-esque dictator-type....not the glorious champion of the negros as he is portrayed in today's textbooks. The truth about him may be over the heads of everyone in that classroom...resulting in mockery.

Here is an article about the civil war which shows the tyranny of Lincoln which you might use to not only dispel the myth that the civil war was fought to free the slaves, but to portray Lincoln and Obama in the bad light they deserve. It is almost comical that Obama wants to be seen as a modern day Lincoln; one thing history may show them to have in common is civil war, cause I am betting Obama might get one going too.

Try googling some of his quotes on colored people, slavery, etc., he was a man of his time. Tom DiLorenzo's books would certainly help.

Compare those quotes to some from Obama, another man of his time.

If you get into the Lincoln Tariff issues (one of the major causes of the Civil War), compare that to Obama's stimulus plans (which will ultimately raise taxes).

I like the idea below about comparing Lincoln "freeing" the slaves to Obama reinstituting tax slavery.

Be sure to include some ideas about "diversity of opinion" since this will be done in an academic setting (all to often gets thrown out).

Up to some point during the Civil War, Lincoln advocated shipping former slaves back to Africa.

Then there is this quote of Lincloln that Obama would never make.

Eventually Lincoln did come around after admiring the efforts of the Lincoln brigades. Late in his presidency he suggested black suffrage.

Obama's white half is the same bloodline as Bush AND Cheney, then explain how most presidents have royal blood and are related to each other...and

Obama and McCain are in the same club (CFR)

People want to connect Obama to Lincoln, so give them the truth.
Show them how they really are quite similar!
It just won't be considered a correct answer according to the curriculum.

You need to get a copy of "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas DiLorenzo. Lincoln did not free the slaves. He trashed the constitution and made more slaves.

Lincolns mother spread her legs for a preacher man--Nobamas momma spread her legs for Africa (to harsh for the boy but still a fact)
Both manipulate the press
Neither want/ed true freedom (look up your facts the Civil War is not over..never has been..we in the south are held under an unlawful government of greed)
Seeds of anger..mistrust...delusion built up in both camps but with Lincoln..we know (or think we know) the true ending

Freedom is another way to God...A corrupt government is a straight way to hell.

The emancipation proclamation didn't effect slaves that were held in the union states, only in the Confederate States. You could use this to show the hypocrisy of Lincoln and how he wanted to rule an empire abroad instead of govern a republic at home.

This would compare to Obama (and the all others too), spending money to rule foreign countries instead of practicing Constitutional governance at home.

If you really want to prove a point, bring up this quote,

"The government should create, issue, and circulate all the
currency and credit needed to satisfy the spending power of
the government and the buying power of consumers. The privilege
of creating and issuing money is not only the supreme
prerogative of government, but it is the government’s
greatest creative opportunity. The financing of all
public enterprise, and the conduct of the treasury will

and then bring up Obama's "stimulus" and the FED, they both are big government pro fake money.

And the coup de gras,

You could use this to show how if Lincoln had his way Obama would never have been able to serve on a jury let alone be the president.

There are many many examples of hypocrisy that both are guilty of, and I am sure that folks will help you.

Just thought of another, Lincoln instated one of the 1st income taxes, and Obama's cabinet appointments don't pay them.:)

Lincoln "freed" ( ones he legally couldn't) some of the slaves, Obama HOPES to CHANGE that, just as the presidents before him, and with the help of the Congress and the Federal Reserve extend slavery to all.

However, this may have been a strategy speech used to gain voters too, as Douglas had accused Lincoln of favoring negroes too much as well. [13]

In his second term as president, on April 11, 1865, Lincoln gave a speech supporting a form of limited suffrage extended to what Lincoln described as the more "intelligent" blacks and those blacks who had rendered special services to the nation.[

That ought to spice things up and give his teacher a stroke...
