Do you believe Ron Paul can win?
Do you believe Ron Paul can win?
I do. And I know that most of you who visit this site believe it also.
Well, the TV talking heads still don’t and they won’t until it actually happens.
They are part of the big government/big media establishment and they don’t want to even think about rocking the boat. They don’t want to think about it so they don’t want to talk about. And they are certainly not going to do anything to help rock the boat.
But even though they won’t talk about it that doesn’t mean that the boat isn’t rocking. Anyone who has been to a Ron Paul rally or who has passed out literature at a county fair or gun show or who has been part of the fundraising efforts online knows that the boat is rocking. They know it’s rocking because they are the ones doing the shaking!!!!! And for that I say thank you. Thank you for reminding me and all of the world that the spirit of liberty is alive and well in America. Let’s keep up the good work!

I haven’t contributed anything to the Daily Paul in a little while as I’ve been busy starting up my own business. It always amuses me when politicians try and talk about how they create jobs. Baloney! The only jobs that politicians create are the ones which involve infringing on the rights of the citizenry or in some manner cause money to be taken from taxpayers’ pockets. Anyway, I’m now open for business and looking for clients so if you are in need of customized bookkeeping services drop me a line through the contact option on this site and I’ll get back to you.

Back to the media, I was pleased by one comment on This Week with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday. When George Will brought up Ron Paul we got the customary smirking and eye rolling from Stephanopoulos and Donna Brazile but Jack Tapper made a great comment. He said that Ron Paul “is the one true straight talker in this race.”
How right he is on that.
And if it is so obvious to me and to you that being “the one true straight talker in this race” really matters to the American public then why can’t the political analysts see the same thing? Because they don’t want to see it and they are being paid not to see it.

I had a very pleasant experience on Election Day.
As those who have read my essays in the past know, I am the Judge of Elections for my district. As such it is my responsibility to make sure that the polling place is run in accordance to the law and that all votes are fairly and correctly counted.
Well, during a slow period in the afternoon I was chatting with one of my poll workers who happens to be a 71 year old retired state policeman and a life long Democrat. I mentioned that I’ll be a Republican for the first time in the coming primary and he looked at me with surprise. I told him I was switching parties so that I can vote for Ron Paul in the upcoming primary election.
What a reaction I got! My co-worker sprang up in his chair and told me that Ron Paul is the only candidate that speaks the truth and that he has been a Ron Paul supporter since the first televised debate. He may not agree with Dr. Paul on every issue, just like me, but he agrees on most of them and certainly on the most important ones. He is now considering switching his party affiliation also and I’ll be dropping off some literature for him to pass out to his family and friends.
This just showed me once again that the message of liberty is resounding everywhere and that more and more people are joining with us all the time.

And one last visit to the media topic.
There is nothing better than seeing Dr. Paul on TV doing a one on one interview in a setting without a short time restraint.
His recent visits to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on CBS with Bob Schieffer were wonderful as was the earlier interview on the PBS News Hour. I thought Schieffer had an adversarial attitude about him during the interview and I thought Dr. Paul turned that to his own advantage. Whenever Schieffer tried to challenge Dr. Paul on an issue Ron was easily able to give Schieffer a sound Constitutional argument supporting his position. But you know, that is not all that hard when you have truth, justice and the American way on your side.
I look forward to increased media coverage as the campaign progresses because that will strengthen our cause even more. Just wait until the Tea Party. The talking heads are really going to be at a loss for words on December 17th!

Illuminati going to vote for RP?
Ron Paul has won the hearts and minds of Americans, many who are compromising long standing beliefs (abortion, education, party) to support and vote for Ron Paul. But the GOP is folding.
We all have allot of questions about what and or why the GOP is doing things like declining their primary ballot to independents, or moving the primary vote date before tuesday. Some folks think the GOP is doing that to Ron Paul, but I think Ron Paul is no less hurt than Guiliani or Romney...it hurts all GOP candidates. So why is the GOP hurting it's own candidates? Trent Lott leaving could be big for Ron Paul too...eh?
I think this rEVOLution should start talking about what it's going to do when Ron Paul does not win the nomination because if he did win, why it' would be "easy street", celebrating and converting Democrats (and RP beats them all), but if Ron Paul does not win, and I highly and regretfully think he will not because the federal reserve bankers/ secret govt./ boogiemen of Alex Jones and Aaron Russo are not MIA. The NWO isn't going to give us a chance. It's going to entertain us (and we them). This isn't the chance most think it is. It's the chance to network and decide what needs to be done when RP doesn't win.
One guess I have, RP supporters are rounded up for interrogation as terrorists by the winner. "Old American" thinking is threatening to a NWO busy destroying sovreign nations and constitutions.
Days to Come
I hope and pray that you dismal prediction does not come to pass, but in my heart of hearts, I fear that what you say is true. There is too much power at stake and billions of dollars to steal to allow a statesman such as Dr. Paul to become leader of fedgov. And there has been such a loss of personal freedom, free speech restrictions, etc. that the worst part of your doomsday scenario is a real possibility. Which ever republicrat/democan that the power elite install, whether it is Guilani ar Clinton, we could indeed be on their hitlist.
That said, we must make a stand, and make the effort to stop the elimination of the way of life our ancestors fought and died for. We will be the last warriors for America. Be strong, commit to spreading Dr. Paul's message of hope and it WILL outshine the corruption and darkness that pervaids D.C.
I don't think Paul will win
I don't think Paul will win. The odds say it's not likely. I've met Ron Paul two times. Once in his office and once in the capital building in the doorway to the House floor. Even though I live in Oregon I honestly got the feeling he was my representative. There is something about him that sets him apart from other representatives. Maybe it's his uniqueness that will prevent him from winning, maybe it will help. So it doesn't bother me at all if I realize he probably will not win. I'm still supporting him and still donating to his campaign. I've only donated a thousand but I plan on having my name at or near the top of the OpenSecrets list come years end. I can't explain it, its just bothers me for some reason that others have donated more than me. What the hell, it's only money. And that blimp idea seems kinda cool too but I haven't made my mind up yet about that one. Anyway, my point is that he seems to be the sort of person who you can never regret voting for. I can live out the rest of my days knowing I did my part to save the country.
Pledge to vote for Ron Paul!
I stumbled upon this terrific web site. What a great idea, a show of support for all those folks who think Ron Paul can't win. This site needs a million pledges, let's make that multi-million! Help promote it. The videos are great too. http://www.pledgeforpaul....
Ron Paul can win....
But only as the result of the most massive grassroots upward push by informed activists in the history of America.
Ron Paul's supporters must combat:
1.Vote fraud
2.Corruption in the highest levels of the GOP
3.Massive Media bias and lack of publicity
4.General ignorance and apathy of the people
But if we collectively maximize our efforts against these foes, and draw millions more into the fold, we can and will win.
The 4 horsemen
1. Now is that Karl Rove imaginary vote fraud or the clever republican kind?
2. Does unearthing the corruption include going after the Christian Right, who as holy as they unquestionably are (just ask them) are the primary electoral focus, war supporters and therefore power base of the republicans?
3. Is the massive media bias the "liberal" media we have been so warned about all these years...or the "fair and balanced" kind that torpedoes Dr. Paul?
4. See the first three...and ask yourself just who exploits ignorance and apathy.
I hope it strikes republicans as ironic that in order to restore their party they have to destroy it...is the ultimate question whether there are sufficient numbers of republicans in this country who can bear to look in the mirror?
re: I had a very pleasant experience on Election Day.
After voting, the Democrat poll worker came up to me (I had my RP
hat on) to thank me for supporting Dr. Paul!
Same thing happen to me
I was at work one day and had a Ron Paul sticker in my truck window.
A man walked up to me and wanted to shake my hand and thank me for supporting Paul.
As he left he turn around and said Ron Paul is the man.
I responded you made my day.
It was awesome.
I KNOW Ron Paul can't win if
people's full-time occupation is debating....
I KNOW Ron Paul WILL win if we spread the message to those who are hungry for it....like we were.
http://www.dailypaul.com/...
Of course I believe Ron can
Of course I believe Ron can win.I also believe he needs time to get his message out. There is not much time if you believe he MUST WIN in the primaries. There is plenty of time if you believe, like I do,the nominee will be decided at the RNC....Chris Matthews mentioned this today.
The primaries are important, but I don`t think there will be a clear winner.
I believe we must be prepared to campaign for Dr. Paul right to election day.The campaign should keep it`s "powder dry",continue the frugal spending, let the republicrats assassinate each other, the longer this game goes on and the closer to the election, the more people will be attracted to the MAN AND THE MESSAGE.I say this because I don`t think most people are paying ANY attention whatsoever to the presidential race right now. The election is still 1 year away.
Ron Paul can win
For those of you who are familiar with the movie The Running Man with our friend Arnold who plays the role of Ben Richards, Ron Paul has a similar battle. He must overcome the fascist media controlled by the entrenched power structure, he must defeat the stalkers who are trying to kill him during the running man game, and must ultimately get his message out to the vast majority of the public who are living in a reality fabricated by the media.
After killing off several stalkers, the moment of truth arrives when an elderly woman bets on our hero to defeat the next stalker. The game show host objects, saying you must bet on a stalker ( media approved candidates). She says no, I can bet on anyone I want and I bet on Ben Richards ( Ron Paul).
Finally the resistance (R3VOLution) gets the uplink codes for the media satelites and broadcasts the truth to everyone. The people are set free because the truth is known to everyone and the elite power structure crumbles.
I think this movie is about politics in this country and how it really works. Yes, I think Ron Paul can win but we will not get any help from the MSM.
Google Search survey
This is a search I have done on the number of times candidates are listed as "can win" or "cannot win" on webpages.
During the summer, I did an experiment where I googled each candidates name with the words, "can't win." I included all national candidates I could remember in an effort to be fair. Here's what I found:
Democrats who "can't win" according to Google web search, August 23, 2007 3pm
"Hillary Clinton can't win" gets 2,340 results.
"Barack Obama can't win" gets 2,050 results.
"John Edwards can't win" gets 1,360 results.
"Dennis Kucinich can't win" gets 10 results.
"Bill Richardson can't win" gets 9 results.
"Chris Dodd can't win" gets 3 results.
"Mike Gravel can't win" gets 2 results.
Republicans who "can't win" according to Google web search, August 23, 2007 3pm
"Ron Paul can't win" gets 14,300 results.
"John McCain can't win" gets 1,300 results.
"Rudy Giuliani can't win" gets 961 results.
"Fred Thompson can't win" gets 369 results.
"Mitt Romney can't win" gets 9 results.
"Duncan Hunter can't win" gets 5 results.
"Mike Huckabee can't win" gets 3 results.
"Sam Brownback can't win" gets 0 results.
Three months have passed. Brownback and Gravel are out of the race.
As of 2:30 AM today, here is what I'm finding when I search:
"Barack Obama can't win" gets 3,000 results.
"Rudy Giuliani can't win" gets 2,900 results.
"John Edwards can't win" gets 1,910 results.
"Mitt Romney can't win" gets 1,690 results.
"Fred Thompson can't win" gets 1,600 results.
"John McCain can't win" gets 1,360 results.
"Dennis Kucinich can't win" gets 747 results.
"Ron Paul can't win" gets only 630 results.
"Hillary Clinton can't win" gets 553 results.
"Mike Huckabee can't win" gets 509 results.
"Duncan Hunter can't win" gets 360 results.
"Bill Richardson can't win" gets 240 results.
"Chris Dodd can't win" gets 6 results. (WHY is he still running?)
"Tom Tancredo can't win" gets 4 results. (Ditto?)
The numbers have almost flipped upside down. Seems like a lot of people who were running their mouths against Ron's chances in the summer time have gone into hybernation! I find it interesting Paul's numbers have shifted so dramatically, as have Kucinich's, Huckabee's, Romney's, and Giuliani's.
At 3 AM today, Google search results on who CAN win:
"Ron Paul can win" gets 29,900 results.
"Fred Thompson can win" gets 11,200 results.
"Hillary Clinton can win" gets 8,120 results.
"Barack Obama can win" gets 7,350 results.
"John Edwards can win" gets 5,340 results.
"Mike Huckabee can win" gets 4,310 results.
"Rudy Giuliani can win" gets 2,850 results.
"Mitt Romney can win" gets 2,800 results.
"John McCain can win" gets 2,570 results.
"Bill Richardson can win" gets 962 results.
"Dennis Kucinich can win" gets 830 results.
"Duncan Hunter can win" gets 477 results.
"Tom Tancredo can win" gets 3 results. (Drop out Tom!)
"Chris Dodd can win" gets 1 result. (Chris probably posted it himself)
Do you see a pattern here? I think I do. I think Ron Paul is going to shock alot of people in these primaries.
I Wouldn't Be In This Campaign If I Didn't
But it won't happen without massive numbers
http://dailypaul.com/node...
Absolutely!
But I have little faith that this will be a fair election. We will not only have to win, but we will have to win by a wide margin. That will make it all the more difficult, but still not impossible.
"It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams
Yes, if...
...the momentum builds to where it can no longer be ignored. If it reaches the point of the scene in Network of people opening up their windows and shouting, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore." then it will become impossible to pretend that the candidate is wearing an invisibility cloak or to fudge the polls. Ron Paul has got one thing going for him: He comes across as honest and sincere. That's one reason why the only real criticism can be that he's a fruitcake, because there's not much else to grab onto. He makes an excellent guest for shows like Bill Maher and Jay Leno where he gets a lot of exposure. He's an affable guy and he's got a sense of fun. He knows when not to come across top serious and thinks on his feet.
He makes older Americans recall a time when America was great and full of hope--that white picket fence America where Officer Friendly would buy a lost kid an ice-cream cone instead of a Darth Vader police force that tasers anyone who dares question a traffic violation.
The trick to getting Ron Paul elected is to get him exposure and to let people see for themselves what a wrong turn we made in the direction this country is heading. Eisenhower was right and his warning rings truer than ever. The only antidote to this madness is electing Ron Paul and then seeing to it that he makes it through his term of office alive and in one piece.
no
if this was 50 yrs ago and the powers that be hadn't the grip on the media, the voter counting machines and everyone in the top of banking, media, oil, arms manufactures and on and on wern't CFR globalist traitors, I'd say only he could do it.
however, since they do control every aspect of everything and a paul victory means their fall from power and control.
I say there's no way they are going to allow him to win.
Protect Ron Paul from Vote Fraud
He can and will win in a landslide if the vote fraud can be stopped and the big old media discredited.
All is for naught if we don't watch the vote count in New Hampshire and Iowa, and demand that the vote be counted in the open.
http://thecaseforronpaul....
An answer to Mrknowitall00713
is for you to get positive about Ron Paul and his bid to win the Presidency is to become more positive about just who we are supporting, if you have kid's and you go around with this perception of our country I feel sorry for you and your family.
You are right they have the control but they now are being posed with an honest the goodness choice for the American people to choose and he is Dr. Ron Paul.
My main concern is the tally of the votes but with organizations such as www.votefraud.com answering that call I see that we as Ron Paul supporters should be tallying each and every vote that goes in and comes out during the primaries and general election
Get positive Ron Paul can and will win and all of us together will weed out the establishment anti-Constitution worshipers and WIN !!!!
Also when we are at rallies for Dr. Paul make sure he is guarded good that should be our responsibility as supporters also.
with all my heart
I believe Dr. Paul will win with all my heart.
IA GOP Anti War!
I just read this. It turns out a majority of the Iowa GOP is against the Iraq War and wants our troops out in six months!
Ron is the only candidate who has promised to bring the troops home ASAP. This needs to be emphasized all over Iowa.
http://www.iowaindependen...
Yes!
Absolutely.
In Liberty's Cause
Dr. Paul will win
because of when the undecided voter's look at what the candidates are saying and proposing they will take a lot of conviction in themselves to know that the Constitution is the answer to our problems we are facing today and the honesty of Dr. Paul.
Dr. Paul will win Iowa and New Hampshire if only that each vote is counted correctly that is why in those of us who have maxed out our contributions to Ron Paul must now look to www.votefraud.com and support there endeavor to make this election primary and general election the most verifiable vote counted process we have seen in United States of America history.
I also see that when we voice out against those who believe in conspiracies whether we agree with them or not we should welcome there support in the Ron Paul campaign.
And never ever enforce on any Ron Paul websites what we are fighting against in this election year and that is limiting FREEDOM OF SPEECH !!!!
PRESIDENT RON PAUL YES MOST DEFINITELY !!!!
YES RON CAN WIN! See ...

1. "WE WILL WIN IN DUE TIME"-- the American Revolution
2. Amateur vs. professional predictors
3. Mathematical proof, summary: the only nonwasted votes are Paul votes
4. Historical track record of amateur predictors
More importantly can we maintain focus in the years to come
Let us not forget that the Ron Paul supporters have demonstrated our political power several times over. Glen Beck did us a favor, he let the cat out of the bag - we are a political power to be reckoned with (even feared apparently), a financial and organizational power that the MSM is doing their best to destroy by deliberately ignoring Dr. Paul and the freedom movement. Regardless of what happens to Dr. Paul's campaign, we his core supporters (even if it's just 50,000-100,000 people), CAN change politics in this country by our collective activism, creativity, ready ability to raise funds, and our demonstrated willingness to do whatever it takes to raise awareness.
Dr. Paul has created an amazing movement to restore this republic, the most fitting honor to him would be for us to continue the grand effort in his name, regardless of the Presidential campaign's outcome.
Even *Ron Paul* thinks we can win...
We all know we can win --the numbers don't lie. Tell everyone you see during the next 4 days what this is all about.
The Rich Sage
http://www.richsage.com
Freedom reigns because we all long for it
We who believe in his message need to keep our chins up and never ,never ,never give up. Those with convictions will out vote the apathetic supporters of other candidates, because they are highly motivated. Freedom is a HUGE motivator.
Yes, because my vote is who wins for me
I made a choice for Ron Paul for my own reasons, and I am voting for him.
When I am in the voting booth I am obligated to no one -- but rather only to the courage to stand for my inner convictions. Nor am I interested in manipulating or controlling others, or the outcome, or trying to strategize what others might do... or whether in the end I will be on the winning team and thereby achieve some superficial satisfaction. I'm not interested in all that.
My vote is who wins FOR ME. That may seem a strange statement, but it is true and it is the best I can tell you.
Gwen Kraft
My opinion doesn't matter
but I have a very, very strong feeling that Dr. Paul now believes he can win.
RP wins it all!
Ron Paul will win the primaries, just notice all the new bumper stickers and signs everyday! Lets be honest for a minute too, only Ron Paul can pull the votes from Dems, Independants, Libertarians, etc., without that pull from the other parties no other Republican can win. Now lets talk about the majority of voters, most want out of Iraq now and not years down the road. Most voters wan't illegal aliens out of this country now. Most voters don't want anymore taxes. Those 3 points are why he will win but WE just need to continue to spread the word. We need to tell everyone about Paul to make it a landslide so Congress can understand what we the people want.
This is all I have to
This is all I have to say
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
Humorous but dead on! Please forgive my levity! The true American spirit lives on…….some where in this rant ;)
You know the "fix" is in when......
all the so called conservative talk show guys and gals can't even mention Ron Paul. You would think someone like Rush/Hannity/O'Reilly/Ingram/and on and on, would be all in favor of Ron Paul. They love to give lip service to 'true conservative", and "defender of the Constitution". Well, we know that's all gas on their part. You would also think that these talking heads would rally around the underdog, but in the words of John Bulushi, Noooooooooooo. They suck up to the media darlings-this isn't by coincidence. can barely mention Ron Paul, and when his name does come up, they are quickly schooled on how to marginalize his campaign. Yup, the fix is in........
you are right.
people think this is america still ,where we really do have a say in things
when is the last time a law was passed that was in our best intrest or that benifited us and not controlled us or restricted freedom.
the very people who post on this web site are the people who laughed at the victems of wacco, who said randy weavers wife and son got what they deserved at ruby ridge, and now
after 20yrs of the die hard constitutionalists effort the message of freedom is being heard in the wake of the stripping of our rights and freedoms in the name of the war on terror, by which we all said would happen,
everyone act's as if they were party to it all along.
what a friggen joke.
Why the media hates Ron Paul
http://www.dailyscare.com...
Don't you know
that true conservatism means bombing other countries into submission?
RON PAUL WINS!
That will be the headline next November. I am a true believer that the message will overcome all obstacles. You can count on me making this happen.
My Dad is favoring Ron Paul and we have never seen eye to eye on anything political. Maybe I am just wising up.
EVERYBODY LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
My guess for a headline
The way the media is going, I think they will hold out to the end...
"HILLARY WINS!!!" (second place)
and in much smaller type...
In other news... Ron Paul Elected President
;-)
yes
lol
Yes
Or this blog would be wasting my time, which it is not.
PRAISE GOD YES!!
His message excites me and has waken me up from a political slumber... I believe people should just stop saying "he doesnt have a chance" and start supporting him, everyone that starts a race has a chance period!!!, but its about who supports them. So get on the RON PAUL REVOLUTION and BELIEVE! wooowhoooo :)
Hey!
God IS! I'll pray for you to have faith. I know you don't understand what I mean now, but you will sometime.
He can win
I was never political after Bush Sr. was defeted in my first voting election and decided that it was fixed and would never vote again. I woke up in December of 2006 when I saw this Immigration Debaucle they were trying. After that I stopped supporting Bush and began looking for someone to believe in. During my studies of the issues I came across Prisonplanet.com and there was a link to Ron Paul for President. I asked the same questions most used to ask (Who is Ron Paul). After looking at him my eyes were open and I had found the person who was saying what I had been thinking for so long. After that I became very political active.
I became so active I became a member and assistant organiser for the Santa Fe Ron Paul Meetup group. When I recently moved back to Missouri I joined the group here as a member and stay active in my support for Ron and getting his message out. I 100% believe that Ron can and will win this election. I, like you, and so many others here believe this and we are all doing our best to further his message and his chances for a landslide this election.
That is one of the reasons for this post. I am the lead Plantiff against the State of Missouri in the NCEL (National Clean Elections Lawsuit) which is suing to prevent the use of computerized voting systems during the 2008 primary and general elections and beyond. Our lawsuit seeks to halt the use of machine-based voting systems and vote counting procedures that hide the ballots and the counting of votes from the People. Our complaint challenges the constitutionality of current voting procedures in the states, claiming that they “heighten the possibility of confusion, deception, frustration, and fraud.” It contends that the existing practices are constitutionally deficient and prevent open, verifiable, transparent voting, and that the use of discredited electronic voting machines and flawed vote counting procedures drastically increase the likelihood of error and election fraud. Our lawsuit calls for a visible chain of ballot custody with paper ballots kept in full public view throughout the voting, counting, and tallying process.
Our lawsuit asks the Court to prohibit the states from conducting elections that are not open, verifiable, transparent and machine and computer free. Which if upheld could stall the states from moving up the dates of the Primaries. We need your support. Please go to http://www.ncel.w4sp.com/ to read the suit and see the updates and to help support us in this effort. This is a chance for us to make sure all our votes count now and in the future. Please help us with all you can do and help us to get the word out to everyone who cares about our right to vote for all of us and our future generations.
Yes
Yes, he can win.
And the more the MSM disrespects him, the harder I work. I will gladly spend part of my Thanksgiving weekend time off to door-knock.
From what I've seen here and at the meet-ups, I know I am not the only one that feels this need to do SOMETHING. In my area, our numbers are growing daily. I see more signs, our MUG attracts new members, more stickers on cars, more comments on my RP shirts, etc.
I'm new to this, so my thanks go out to those of you that have been in this fight for a while now......No time for you to rest just yet, but help is coming!!
Of course he can win.
Of course he can win. History proves that the right message -- at the right moment -- can propel an underdog to victory. The key here is the timing. America has never needed a Ron Paul more than now.

They destroyed the World
They destroyed the World Trade Center and killed 3000 people in the process. Since then, they've committed one or two other atrocities. I don't think they are about to hand RP the country. If all else fails for them and he does actually win by a margin too large to suppress, we'll see a "terrorist" attack and martial law will ensue. They will avoid this scenario if possible because it will be more risky than making a move after the population has suffered the effects of a depression; people will accept anything when they are waiting in bread lines. This is what the other candidates will accomplish for them: a nice peaceable transition to totalitarianism.
Yes
The bulk of Ron Paul supporters don't want to hear this particular message. I get the impression most of the people here are willfully ignorant cheerleaders and blind optimists.
Some of us have been posting the 9/11 truth, facts about the Bilderberg group, the New World Order, newly built concentration camps on American soil waiting to be filled, and the concerns of Alex Jones.
The international bankers are currently sponsoring global invasions, the wholesale rape of natural resources, genocide, stolen elections, massive fear mongering, and everything George Orwell wrote about in "1984." But try telling these hardcore Ronettes and Paulites and you receive an admonishment to Shut up and censor yourself.
That's because...
...the immediate goal is to WIN. We can worry abput the rest of that stuff later, like 1-21-09 later. It's not going to motivate many voters and will alienate even more. The focus is not on 9/11 truth, Bilbergers, CFR, Illuminati, etc. at al ad nausuem. It's about getting Dr. Paul elected, period.
That's right
You cannot discuss these issues in the current political climate without being relegated to the tinfoil hat-wearing crowd. None of this is important in terms of the campaign. If and when you can get an honest person in office, then you can begin to open up all your multiple cans of worms. Not before. It only adds ammunition to those already flinging stones.
He can easily win
Ron Paul is the grassroots support king. His registered Meetup group support could win an entire state primary all by themselves if they all turned out to vote in one state. Motivated supporters vote. They in turn motivate other voters to get out and vote. Its motivation and turnout that wins primaries folks.
People forget that average voter turnout for a primary is like 10%. And if there's one thing that everybody is getting wrong about Ron Paul and his supporters, its that they don't believe we will show up to vote. Oh my god, are they going to be proven wrong.
The telephone polls used by the MSM are bullcrap. I can't believe that even Ron Paul supporters treat them as being accurate. Seriously, the pollsters call up people who voted Republican in the last presidential primary. That's basically the neo-con vote (Bush voters). This is a small minority of people, especially now given the way the Iraq debacle is going. I've seen some telephone polls where they ask these same people if they think Bush is doing a good job as President, and I just laugh at the result. He still gets around 65 - 70% approval ratings from republicans polled. This is against national polls where his approval rating is dropping below 30%. This is a joke.
I'm not even addressing the land-line phone issue, self-selection, vote multipliers, or even plain old bias.
I just laugh when the MSM does an interview on Ron Paul and they always lead off with the usual "he's a long-shot for the nomination who's lagging in the polls, but..."
The MSM can't see the freight train that's coming for them because the headlight is six inches from their face. Thanks to the internet, even the camera guy for Faux News might be a closet Ron Paul supporter. They don't poll him because he's only got a cell phone and has never voted in his life. You gotta love the irony.
They've been laughing at Ron Paul all year. But you know what they say, he who laughs last, laughs best. We'll get our chance after the Revolution comes to the voting booth.
Yes, he can win
Stay optimistic! Just because 'scientific' polls and a good number of talking heads say he does not have a chance, he will win if we keep up our hard work.
don't be so negative

From my perspective, one of the most significant attributes of Dr. Paul's success is his ability to speak the truth and have people--all people--respond to his message. I think rather than waste everyone's time chastising a fellow supporter's enthusiasm for his crude response to a rallying question, focus on the positive and get behind the people who share your political aspirations. Seems a waste of energy, in my estimation. I'm greatful for a little optimism.
