RNC is in full panic mode right now
It was not long after Dr. Paul was finished speaking at CPAC that the RNC had that pompous fatass Bill Bennett waiting at CNN and in the Situation Room so Wolf Blitzer could ask him who is the new leader of the conservatives in the Republican Party ... Bennetts answer was Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, I laughed so hard my stomach hurt!
This was a big day for Dr. Paul and all of us here, make no mistake about it Ron is the face and voice of the Republican Party right now!

I agree.
I agree.

Enjoy.
Jindal, though he won by a landslide, is not as well loved here as many would have you believe. His electoral victory was more a case of the media propping him up, and our recent experience with Katrina & Rita that propelled him into office. (He also narrowly lost to Blanco the last time around, he was propped up by the media then also, but she pulled it out in a runoff, trailing at that)
His 'ethics' reform is a sham as it can't be enforced and he is granting his administration extensions for compliance.
He has one of the most 'closed door' administrations in memory.
He reluctantly vetoed a MASSIVE legislative pay raise. They still got a raise, which he signed, just not as big as they were asking for. (which led many to believe that they asked for an excessive amount just so they could 'compromise' and still get a hefty pay hike)
Other than that, he's a dud.
(oh and his Secretary of State refused to Barr on the ballot here, even though he qualified, no matter your personal opinion of Barr, that stinks)
Actually..
Ron Paul got 13% of a 5 way vote that was except for Romney, basically a tie.
Jindal only got 14%.
I'd love to see Sarah run for Pres and Ron for VP.
are you totally shiting me....?
no really....
was that last comment a joke or are you for real yo......
palin? who couldn't find her way out of a paper sack?
i'll vote for a steaming pile of horse shit before i did something like vote for mccain or palin or any of those lame asses.
Sarah Palin's intellect is a drop in the ocean...
Sarah Palin's intellect is a drop in the ocean compared to Ron Paul's...Why on earth would you say, "I'd love to see Sarah run for Pres and Ron for VP."???
What a scam. If people actually believe the GOP is "seeing the
light" then they need to go behind the woodshed and flog yourself repeatedly. You should be offended, not encouraged.
From what I saw of CPAC
the neocons still have a firm grip on the leadership. Maybe not a firm grip on the people, not sure how a vote would come out. But I still haven't seen Mitt Romney and I would like to see how he was received.
Elections matter ....
remember that.
People are free to cast their vote as they so choose.
That is why we are still in the game.
House rules or not ...
Ron Paul has started something that could end in victory.
WAHOR!!

The neo-cons will stay in charge of the party.
There's big money behind them, from the military industrial complex, and they cannot be rooted out or overturned. Neo-cons will always dominate the GOP, as Marxists will always dominate the Democratic Party.
Republicans will only halfheartedly repudiate Bush even now, despite the fact that he singlehandedly crushed their party with his bad policies. But they were policies the GOP believes in...war, empire, oppressive big government, torture, suppression of civil liberties, and so on--with no sincere rhetoric, let alone change, enacted on taxation, abortion, sound money, elimination of wasteful government agencies, or pork.
Republicans barely utter a whimper of criticism of Bush even now, and then mostly on the bailouts of the previous year--where they are desperately attempting to stick the blame on Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank.
The party is not going to change.

100% right on
Only a massive revolution can do anything.
I agree. Although I'm glad that Dr. Paul was able to get 13%
of the vote in the straw poll (a limited poll), the larger question is: where is the other 87%? I think your post just located it. Congrats.

completely agree with you
The mainstream fox news people and talk radio heads are still in denial about how much damage Bush has done to the GOP.
Hannity is always harping on the patriot act being a good thing. Rush is always talking about how much wealth was created during his tenure (and won't mention the bust). The only thing you can say is that we haven't been attacked by Terrorists here in the US since then. But, in the process of taking the war to the middle east we have added so much to the national debt, destroyed the economy and the Republican party is in absolute shambles on the verge of collapse.
Until the GOP pulls their head out of you know where they won't be winning any elections. Americans need to see an absolute rejection of Bush doctrine in terms of nation building, immigration, bigger government and spending before any real progress can be made with disenfranchised voters..

We need to make the RNC know how we feel about Jindal. (LIAR)
Hhis touching little story about being shoulder to shoulder with a local sheriff during Katrina was apparently "allegorical." Isn't it nice how many words we have to make "lie" sound better than it is?
Yep!
I didn't watch that particular portion of it, but I have noticed the push "towards Jindal" lately...
Straw poll begs to differ...
