It Is Time to Admit the Obvious: The Political Classes Are Deliberately Blocking an Economic Recovery

As Chris Martenson so eloquently explains, we now live in a monetary system where money *is* debt, particularly since Nixon slammed the gold window completely shut.

As much as we would like the establishment to wake up and endorse RP's policies, I doubt that it will happen until the SHTF. No one wants to be blamed for the short-term disruption that would occur if we brought back honest money, so everyone is desperately trying to prevent the debt-based system from collapsing on *their* watch. And collapse it will.

So, no, they aren't trying to destroy the system, but yes the system will collapse despite their futile attempts to save it with bailouts, etc. And frankly, some of them like George W. Bush probably have no clue what is going on, whereas others like Obama probably are scared to death that they will be voted out of office if the SHTF on their watch.

economic meltdown. If you step back and look at the way things have
evolved (devolved), it looks like there is a deliberate drain of what little
financial security Americans may have had. There is no where left to go. The FDIC is going broke so not even a simple savings account is secure anymore. Even if you take all of the "conspiracy theories" out of the equation, the transfer of money is so real that it is down right frightening. I don't know what the new America is going to look like, but I have a feeling we're not going to like it.

The Republican Party in the United States has become the Spokes Party for the Oligarchs that have prospered during the economic meltdown. The oil industry has rung-up all time record profits against the backdrop of an economy in peril that affects the rest of us. We have bailed-out the financial industry by attempting to pay off their markers, which seem to be reproducing themselves weekly, to the Casinos on Wall Street. We are now just coming around to realize that credit cards are no substitute for real dollars with which to buy products and that wealth is not synonymous with debt. Bundling toxic assets into tempting investment packages have exploded in the hands of greedy investors and the Bernard Madoffs have made off with the life savings of thousands of once wealthy investors leaving many of them virtually penniless. We have seen Regan tax breaks to the wealthy ( and subsequent tax breaks over the years) lead to investments into cheap labor abroad. Our only surviving export is the machinery of war and weapons of mass destruction. Under GWB we have borrowed from the Chinese, Japanese and other nations to fund and endless occupation in Iraq and now Obama seeks greater involvement in Afghanistan. It is a very grim picture of what we have become and a major reality check on what real wealth is and who has it and why it is concentrated in the hands of the few at the top of the economic food chain. Our armies are deployed to support the continued viability of the oil industry in the Middle East. And from the Oil Fields of Iraq we turn our attention now to the Poppy Fields of Afghanistan and again and again we continue to support another parallel economy that lies beneath the rubble of our collapsing economy. Welcome to the United States of Enronica the land of plenty for the few in an American Oligarchy.

Their sole power flows from fighting wars, whether it be wars on countries, drugs, poverty, or the economy. If they have nothing to fight they have nothing to do, and would just wither away into irrelevance, which is their proper role.

They know this, so they sustain a state of war on something or other at all times.

Shut off the TV as it is owned by the people we speak of in this post. They need you to be weak and frightened and angry and emotional. It is their method.

I didn't read the article, so my comment is just based on what you posted. In my opinion, if we judge our political representatives simply based on what they do - then they really do not care about us. The only way for them to prove otherwise would be for them to do the right thing, which they are not.

even the slow learners catch on.

In time, all will see that there has been a conspiracy beyond anything they ever suspected. And it was one big conspiracy, played out as vast numbers of little conspiracies, all of which were thought to be separate, and all were laughed-at sneeringly by the "igno-arrogant people who think they know better".
And it's not really hidden.
People just refuse to look because they don't want to see.
Until it's too late, and then they gaze upon the horror that they facilitated with their denial.

Assert Your Authority

It's important to have an accurate view of the world. It's time we consider that maybe they aren't really interested in making the free markets work.

If you create incentives that results in a large scale movement in a particular direction, you don't need to attribute it to any kind of conspiracy theory. It is simply people trying to maximize utility. The political classes experience no upside to improving the economy and they experience greater power in an economic decline. They might even "see" that a revolution is a potential, but they don't really feel that way when they are partying down at the White House with Stevie Wonder.

Land is a natural right.

Rush Limbaugh says, they are not incompetents, speaking of the Obama administration. They are dimolishing the old economic order to build the new global economic order. They are setting up ( Democats ) to be the sole political power in the U.S. Rush is right on this ussumptions. There is a global ruling class who are directing the dismantleing of the U.S. as a world superpower. But we are complicit in our demise, we allowed politicians to enabled global corporations who have no nationalistic allegience - to move manufacturing infrastructure to China and elsewhere where labor is cheaper. We allowed immigrants from developing countries to dissplace more labor expensive U.S. citizens to come and work for less. In essence we have been pitted against the surplus of the world's workers as Pat Buchanan said, a global free market will always gravitate to the lowest paid workers. The founding father always protected the markets of it's workers (citizens). no nation ver consumed itself to prosperity, when this nation became great it was because of it's manufacturing base. Whether people want to addmit or not hell yes this is a conspiracy

A: I'm shocked to hear something like this come from that site, although mainly because Michael Rozeff has been so vocally anti-conspiracy.

B: If they know that this keynesianism hurts the economy, its possible that they knew that the low interests rates were damaging in the long run as well. Now, this doesn't necessarily follow.

Conspiracy: Two or more plot is secret to do evil. Done every day by evil.

One example is, look at how they intentionally plotted to give Paul as little lime-light as possible during the debates.............. This could not have happen by happenstance. This is every bit as evil as rigging the votes, and that is because the intentional outcome IS to subliminally alter / manipulate the minds of the voters in their direction.

They are slowly coming to realize that such policies are doomed to fail ...

and hence, come to grips with defeat.

When that happens, you may in deed be right.

It will be about them and only them at that point.

The truth is there is profound ignorance out there. Profound.

And neither party possesses a speck of political savvy. This is being increasingly proven. If they aren't even sharp enough to understand how to wield political savvy--something their careers are entirely dependent upon--what makes you think they secretly understand subtleties like what the Fed does, or how Austrian economics work?
