Federal Animal ID NAIS Bill Requires Registration of Farms to Prepare for Coming Animal IDs
Submitted by Augie on Fri, 03/06/2009 - 18:18
This just in . . .
More criminal charges have been filed in the NAIS watch state of Wisconsin for not registering their farms under NAIS premise identification. Legal documents have been provided to the Journal today by Paul G. of SK Farms. These documents will be provided to our readers soon. Paul is also facing charges. He is a friend and a lay legal advisor to Immanuel Miller, the Amish man who was in court in December for the same crime. More crackdowns are expected in Wisconsin.
This just in from The Weston A. Price Foundation:
The issue of the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) is heating up in both Congress and the USDA. Below are two important actions alerts explain how you can help protect your right to farm and our food supply!
The USDA has proposed a rule to require all farms and ranches where animals are raised to be registered in a federal database under the NAIS for existing disease control programs. The draft rule covers programs for cattle, goats, sheep, and swine. It also sets the stage for mandatory NAIS animal identification in the future.

the farmers
should take up arms
We can't let them fight the battle
by themselves. It's everybody's battle, but we must get the word out to defeat the legislation.
Castro tracked all the
Castro tracked all the people with cows, all the calves had to be given to him.
People just killed the calves before the government took notice, but once the cows had died, they have no more cows, because it was not allowed the selling and buying of cows
If they can get animals registered,
It will be easier to FEMA to show up with armed support to confiscate your animals in such emergencies as massive food shortages.
Raise fish.
I'd like to see some hamhanded bureaucrat try to check catfish for RFID tags.

fish
I have a small crappy pond in zone 7 that gets a little low in August... anyone know a fish that I can farm here?
They RFID chip cactus plants in protected areas
so when people steal them they can find them. I would rather deal with catfish than cactus! LOL!

Yes .
it is voluntary. In WI premise IDs are required. Also, premise numbers is not a "taking" of your property. They have IDs on your property anyway. When this shakes out, many states will not go along with it at all. It would be nice if it only applied to the very large operations.
