Volunteer for Ron Paul in NH
I felt that this information was so important that I took my comments from another post to use as a full blog entry. Iowans and South Carolinians may take note and follow suit!
Being the first primary states, we need at least 16 volunteers each weekend to fan out in pairs to do up to 8 events that a ready made for getting lots of people to know about Ron Paul.
I did three events this weekend, but 5 more needed to be attended to. The ones that were covered often did NOT have any of the other candidates present besides Rudy Mitt or John (and when I say present, I mean, someone representing them) but I was pleased that there was a lot of interest for Ron in the crowd, especially when people saw the 4x8 sign in Exeter. These are the kinds of events that the whole family goes to, where they have colonial militia and colonial culture recreated with cannon shoots and cooking and fife and drums corps playing. Very colorful! People mill around in throngs all day. It's a big part of NH culture.
Today we did an Old Home Day and then drove another hour to a GOP picnic. The picnic was small, but I was able to give the GOP committee there our literature..as I did to the Nashua GOP who had a formal dinner.
The GOP in each town usually has a table or tent set up at almost every one of these outdoor town, state, or county functions, and all you do is stand there and hand out literature, signs, and buttons to those interested and answer questions if you are asked. It's nice to have a buddy but I've even done them alone, making two trips to the truck, one for the bag of stuff and small signs, and a second to bring the large sign over.
Why are these events so important? Because they are easy to do because THE PEOPLE COME TO YOU. They walk by and browse the candidates and many pick up all the literature, which shows they are completely undecided at this point.
When someone takes a bumper sticker and pin, you KNOW they are committed. I'm happy to report I'm almost out of stickers and lawn signs.
If you live anywhere near the NH border, please join either the Nashua or Concord Meetup and watch for these venues to be posted and RSVP to me on there. There are quite a few BIG FAIRS and festivals coming up and we'll need all day help.
Come to NH and make it a day! It's fun and colorful, and there's always plenty of food around. I keep bottled water in the cooler and we will have all the signs, literature, buttons and donations sheets you would need. You can pair up with a NH person who knows where you are going.
Now that Ron is in third place for cash on hand, the presence of his representatives and literature is a MUST at these functions. Come on up and help!
Thanks!

NHfree.com is an NH libertarian activist site filled with Ron Paul supporters. If you petition them to help in the cause, I'm sure you'll get more than enough respondents.
Um...
Most of them either don't vote, or are for Kucinich or Hillary. There may be a couple of Paul supporters there, but not many who will come out and do anything for him - maybe two that I know of. (Dada and Rosie)

I lived in NH for quite a while and liked (most of) the people. They are fiercely independent. It may still be true that there is no state sales tax, nor state income tax. The New Hampshire folks just do NOT like taxes. At all.
So that might be a good sign to make: Like Taxes?
As we know, Ron Paul is the only candidate who would seek to abolish the IRS. That would make the people of NH pretty darn thrilled. Dr. Paul also seeks to preserve the 2nd amendment, and NH has probably more gun owners per capita that most of the other states. A friend of mine, way up in Colebrook, has about a dozen firearms.
So another good sign might be: Want to have your guns taken?
(The above signs probably won't work in Portsmouth, Peterborough or Amherst, but just about everywhere else I bet.)
See if you can convince Fritz to help. You probably know who he is.
Signs
We have tons of campaign signs, including those giant blue 4x8s you see planted all over, literature, stickers...we just need bodies to come out and work on weekends. I know young people have other things to do on weekends, but this is very fun and social, not constraining...lots of stuff going on! Heck sometimes I hop in the pickup and do it by myself.. if it needs to be done. Have GPS and cooler full of water and I travel. LOL

I replied to this but somehow it was lost. :-)
Any other signs but the official ones would not be appropriate in this instance.
We are sharing a booth with the GOP so we have to follow their rules.
I have a 4x8, literature, regular lawn signs, buttons and bumper stickers so there is no need to make signs, just show up and man the booth for a few hours on a Sat or Sun...no work involved..
The literature does emphasize second amendment rights and the 100% NTU rating in that he's never voted for a tax increase.
And I don't know Fritz, but you don't have to live way up north to be a hobbyist with a large collection of firearms. My husband was a reloader and crack shot...
I'm still having to vac up the little brass thingies that fly all over the floor.
We have a group called Second Amendment Sisters. All the women 'shoot' for sport or hunt...
But in case you haven't heard, we are fighting the liberals here too.
