The question in my topic here was not meant to start a drama as most here know me by now..I am not an "attention seeker" nor an "agitator" !

I hated to see her post go ...didn't seem right when so many others that are truly obnoxious to watch are allowed to go on and on! I really don't advocate for "editing" except for the most brutal offenses!

What really upset me was this was this ladys very first topic post!
She poured her heart out and I thought it was a witty and very heartfelt reflection of her experiences this past year or so!

In the first few sentences she was simply relating to the fact that it is often very frustrating when you run up against people that call you names such as "being in a cult" by supporting the ideas we do here!

It would be a shame if we lost such a beautiful new addition to this forum!

But you're right Sentinel. DP won't be the same if valuable people leave. This short excerpt from SCButterfly's lost post says it all....

The problem with some here is you need to get a grip!. You have become lost in a cyber web blog that is sapping you. It has become your whole life.If it is that big of a deal, then ....it was nice knowing you because you need to get a reality check....go hug your kids or watch an Adam Corrola skit or something. Put all that energy into your profession or family.

The Daily Paul is fun place to get news stories and a place where you can comment on them. A place where you can post a thought or two.

I remember the first time I heard Ron Paul speak. It was the Blowback moment. You all know it. It knocked me over. I've written about it here before. Still today, I all but regard that moment with reverence. It changed my life.

There are many, many talented and intelligent people here. I've read some pretty powerful things on DP this past year and a half. Some posts we never forget.

I am lucky to have read SCButterfly's lost post just now. Just as Liberty Belle wrote, it was beautiful indeed. This was a fine piece of writing. Her story of her "liberty transformation" brought back to me those early days when I was so powerfully impacted by my introduction to Ron Paul.

I believe the deletion of that post was a poor decision. I'm guessing that perhaps Michael did not read the entire post. I think this can be fixed. Reposting SCButterfly's post would be the right thing to do.

I have no idea what the post in question said, because it was deleted before I could read it. From what I have read though it doesn't sound like it was near as bad as the time wasted on this thread and losing a DP member.

It would be nice to go to a system where users bump the bad posts down. A lot of ill feelings are swapped around on threads like this and a lot of time is wasted that could be spent on exchanging ideas and saving our country. Maybe it would work out better for everyone if mods could practice a little more tolerance. I have seen posts deleted that were just barely over the line.

No one called any Ron Paul/Daily Paul supporters a cult in that letter at all, only sentinel and that is more a direct reflection on his personality and the way he present his truth. He won't view any other side of an arguement, thinks YouTube is the only source of truth, and gets insulting and degrading if you disagree with him. He can only see the sources he choices to view to prove his point and dismisses all other as false. He claims to be enlightened, superior, and infaliable to anything but his "truth". Coming off like that is like people who are extremely religious and have to push their belief on people, won't hear any other side, and claim to be the enlightened hold of the truth. The letter never once mention the daily paul at all, so please read it before you quote something out of it. I will convey your apology to the one who posted the letter as he has been banned, for trying to post in this thread to say what I'm saying now.

I ask Micheal to make a call to everyone to drop this whole issue about sentinels website be dropped from these forums. If he doesn't use this as his venue to vent instead of apologing to us for his behavior, then we will not post here and leave everyone alone to their own devices. If he wants to keep bringing it up, then we will too.
