The Senate, House of Representatives, and the current Administration have proved their guilt by their contemptuous acts towards America. Have we not been harmed enough already?

Of why no one in the Freedom Movement should take part in the Tea Parties!! Rally NEXT to them - push HR 1207 - rally against the FED - hand out AFTF movies - because these Neocon Tea Party morons have no idea why they are protesting.

If Mr. Behney and the rest of these Neocon War Mongers that were silent during Bush's Bailout had an ounce of morals or ideals congruent with Liberty they would have supported Ron Paul. I say make fun of them and rally against them at the same time!

Because - and everyone knows this - we may get one or two on our side. But, the rest will fall into the sheeple ranks at the word "boo" from the RNC. This whole Tea Party movement was created by the RNC to push purely partisan attitudes and further split the nation. It's disgusting.

i am proud that these people are from my state!! how many times have i yelled at my computer and neighbors about these very same kind of things, yet these true patriots put it in print! we do all have our roles and i believe it boils down to patience. some people are more patient than others IMO because of what they know or dont know. obviously those that are better informed are going to be more pissed. everything is moving in the right direction. everything is coming to a head. i am so fortunate to see so many standing for individual liberty for all, in their own ways.

This is a perfect example of what he describes. Actually, the whole teaparty concept is. The original teaparty involved breaking the law, property destruction, and true passion. The modern teaparty involves people getting together to bitch and moan (about 35 years late, but hey) and the only committment it involves is stopping by food lion for some teabags (and sales tax). We should at least steal the teabags.
The canned food drive thing is just stupid and unrelated. I'm not downplaying these little gatherings, because I know how that feels, but I am here to say that unless people figure out a way to significantly step up the game, we'll have a world government and lose national sovereignty by the end of the year.
There are 3 kinds of people in this movement: 1) The truly committed who will do anything to win freedom
2) The 1/2 committed, who don't quite get it all but know they don't like the way things are. 3) The profiteers, those who see the movement as a good way to make money or advance themselves.
I think the teapartys are and have always been run by the profiteers and are mostly attended by the 1/2 committed.

the organizers not leave it up to participating individuals whether they want to bring any charitable giveaways, food or otherwise?
The socialists are giving away all our things left and right already without the FREEDOM to choose.
That's like rolling around in a mud hole with them by appealing to the media with this quid pro quo idea, imho.
The Teaparty's message is Liberty, not charity. Charity begins @ home.

I believe that food drive would create a mixed message and dilute the real meaning behind the protest.

Speaking for myself I would be a little bit afraid to bring a can of green beans to a protest. You might be wondering why? Because I might get arrested by throwing it at a government official and creating a riot. Yes I can see the headlines now "Revolution Starts with Green Beans." (Just kidding).

However, as far getting the mainstream media's attention do what other activists have done in the past, such as Martin Luther King, Rev. Jesse Jackson just to name a few and I am sure there are several more. These activists bused in hundreds of people to the protest. If there were 100,000 people or more standing in the streets would get the mainstream media's attention.

Just my two cents.

Um, you're all talking about no compromises, but yet you're still willing to work within the Republican Party? Isn't that a compromise?

Are you all so cowardly that you'll let someone else dictate what you say or what you stand for? There's thousands going to these events that were close to our message and they just need a little more information to get there. Now is not the time for fair weather patriots. Get out there with a bullhorn and let them know the truth, but don't backbite people who are bringing together thousands of conservatives, that's a thousand times worse then anything you're NOT doing now.

Reading this makes me feel all yucky inside...when the movement bows to political correctness, the true feelings of dissent, the edginess, goes away. Overthrow the government and feed the poor?!

Please do not use this man's ancestry as a reason to call him a "self-proclaimed hack;" rather, use his words and make sure to mention his evangelical Christianity, which I would personally fear he would proceed to shove down my throat were I to have the misfortune to meet him. I claim ancestry from several Revolutionary War patriots myself, and draw great strength from knowing that they suffered so much in the cause of freedom (some were even prisoners of war). They give me the bravery to carry on in this movement, and I honor them. But...I agree, this doesn't give this person any special powers or abilities.

There are so many of these tea parties that I also wonder which are worth attending; I'm not going to let this stop me from going to one. Be sure, though, to use the opportunity to educate people about RP and the Constitution. After all, we are after a *revolution,* not *reform*...

The event was moved from the State Capitol to "Anne Frank Memorial Park."

Yeah. We have a park across from the Capitol, one in the heart of downtown, and dozens of large and small parks around town. Someone decided the place for a tax protest is off in some out-of-the-way park, but what a GREAT reminder to feel sorry for the poor, poor, Zionist bankers...

We were loading some plywood the other day, when a rabbi pulls in behind us, looks at my "Peacemoneger" "Ron Paul" "Nature is my Church" set of bumper stickers, and the fear became obvious in his face. It really made me angry... ironically enough.... I wanted to scream at him "You idiot - do you not understand I want PEACE!?" I am the last person who is likely to harm another human. That would be the type of activity the banksters and their political minions engage in.

I also heard the same story from organizers in my state who I will keep their names and locations private until they give me permission to post their thoughts. At this point they are thinking about withdrawing their association to the teapartyday organization to focus their activism upon offering real solutions.
