My first time hearing Mr. Harris speak

Enjoyed his opening salvo

I thought this guy was on to something until...

he said:

"We elect good, moral leaders, men and women who will never vote...they will make that pledge that Ryan talked about....they will never enslave us."

Compare that to Jefferson:

"in questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution"
....................................................

So our officials are ignoring the Constitution, and the suggested solution here is to elect folks who will be better. and will "pledge to not enslave us"

Is this a joke? They already make a pledge they ignore...what makes this pledge any different? I respect RJ, but IMO he is way off the mark.

We need to learn and teach and when this all falls apart we need to be the ones putting it back together the way it was meant to be.

in the words of Clair Wolfe:

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards"

I agree

I agree completely with the quote you cited from Jefferson, but I must add that the chains he spoke of have been worked loose by evil men over the last 200+ years. To tighten them back up we need all patriots to get behind the impetuous of this liberty movement to elect those that will do exactly as Jefferson counseled. We have the opportunity for the first time in recent history to elect an entire crop of Constitutional Conservatives. Please don't be so filled with anger that you become willing to lash out at even those called to fight for you.

RJ keep up the fight!

No anger here....Please understand that i think you are doing great things. More then most. While I may disagree with how best to restore our Republic, we surly agree that it needs restoring!

you wrote: "Please don't be so filled with anger that you become willing to lash out at even those called to fight for you."

But listen up friend....I have called no one to "fight for me" I am an individual that will fight for myself. I appreciate your fight, but you are doing it for the Republic not me. I am not "lashing out or angry"...I am simply throwing in my 2 cents, just because i may not agree 100% does not mean i dislike you or am angry at you or any other assumptions. In fact i am just like you...I too want real change.

If i come off angry, i apologize, it is not my intent. Your plan is a difficult one that will require lots of people, money, and time. Not to mention working within a system i believe to be too broken to work within. But assuming we can accomplish all of that...we are then in a situation that we will rely on the newly elected "good person" to fix everything.

If that elected official turns out to be less then we hoped we have done much work for nothing.

If that elected official is turned to the "darkside" (for lack of a better term) we again are screwed.

If that elected official simply does not understand an issue as it relates to the Constitution, they may vote to enslave us with out knowing it...

There were plenty of good honest men in congress in 1913 who voted for the Federal Reserve Act and never would have thought they were doing what they did. the folks looking to enslave us are not going to draft a bill called "Enslaving act of 2010"...

I realized I didn't know what I was talking about

How is anything RJ said off the mark? He says he is a constitutional conservative and will vow to follow the constitution. I think you missed the point. Obviously we need to teach our youth and get back to following our constitution. Everything you said is exactlly what RJ is saying in his video. Did you miss his motto: "restoring the republic." I hate when people don't research things before posting nonsensical garbage.

Honestly, your post doesn't make any sense, you just sound like you are splurring out nonsense in order to stir up some trouble.

I respect RJ

My post does not make any sense? How so? I pointed out how he was off the mark in my first sentence. here i will do it again for you: RJ's plan boils down to "elect good people, who will pledge to never enslave us". Our founders warned against placing trust in men. Planning to fix the problem of our representatives not obeying their oath, by electing "better" people is naive at best.

I will surly vote for "honest and good people" but that does not mean it will restore our Republic or our Constitution. Ron Paul is rare and not easy to find. Supporting people who claim to be "Ron Paul republicans" is a good start and I am not trying to "stir up trouble". But remember History...even recent history, such as Bob Barr. He claimed to be one of us...but take a look at what he really became as the campaign progressed. To trust in people is foolish. And anyone can make a pledge. Millions thought that Obama's many "pledges" to restore the rule of law were honest and they voted for him based on those pledges. Where has that gotten us?

Listen if you disagree with me that is your right and i respect that. But to dismiss my points by claiming I don;t make sense, yet fail to show how, is not the way to advance your argument. Blurting out that his motto is "restoring the republic" is no argument at all. If we are to advance liberty we need open debate...but you are criticizing my thoughts with fluff. Not sure how me making direct quotes and references is considered by you as "nonsensical garbage"....

If you are so full of research then provide it, don't just bash with lines like "I hate when people don't research things " how does that make any sense at all? I am open to hear how i am wrong in my judgment of RJ's plan, but you will need more then .....

"He says he is a constitutional conservative and will vow to follow the constitution" now that my friend is fluff.

If our Founding-Fathers could...

What I take away from this speech is this...

If our Founding-Fathers could throw off tyranny, so can we! YES WE CAN :)

Thank GOD we are rising to the top

How encouraging to see the cream rising to the top in America, The more churning we get the more of this we see.

We the people need to repent for ever allowing the NeoCons to take office and the socialist agenda we have been swallowing.

Thanks for posting!!

I'm in OK and planning on helping RJ!!
