We, the undersigned members of the Missouri House of Representatives, wish to express our concern over the Missouri Information Analysis Center’s February 20, 2009 report on the militia movement in Missouri.
While we appreciate the March 23, 2009 letter of apology to Messrs Paul, Barr and Baldwin, let us be clear that the offensive MIAC report goes deeper than simply naming and offending individual candidates for President or their respective political parties. It’s dangerous and disturbing.
At best, the MIAC report was sloppy, lopsided in its assumptions and poorly written. At worst, it’s political profiling and a written set of instructions for the infringement of our rights to free assembly and free speech!
We fully recognize real terrorists are out there; no doubt many wish to do us harm. But to list law-abiding citizen groups, gun owners, Christians and pro-life groups as dangerous begs the question why other groups with a track record of violence weren’t listed. This effort to label groups, or the issues they advocate as listed in your report, is wrong and reckless. Apologizing won’t be enough. We encourage you to continue your efforts to fight terrorism but without political profiling and scare-tactics. We ask that you be mindful of the basic freedoms all of us enjoy and ask you respect free speech and the freedom of assembly, the basic freedoms we expect you to protect as given to us by our Founding Fathers.
We appreciate the work of the Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies across Missouri, particularly in these perilous times. We only wish the best for you and our citizens.

This MIAC doccument will discourage all young, white, christian, patriotic males from attending worship service for fear of homeland security writing down license plate numbers in the churck parking lot. Would you go to church knowing now that you might be listed as a domestic terrorist?

This is truly a UNIFYING OPPORTUNITY! A bi-partisan issue that has gained ALOT of attention!! So we got the ALIPAC on it NOW lets see the anti -war and anti abortion groups and all others that value free speech get on it too!! I am trying to get it out there as best I can!! Some people don't recognize a unifying issue to advance the R3volution and wake up multitudes to what is happening even if it "tea-bagged' them in the face!!
IMO when you have something like this...YOU PUSH IT and DONT LET UP!!! Okay...I am going to my state reps and governor, emailing other groups and I want THIS SHIT EXPOSED!!!

NEW updates on MIAC 'Blowback' !!
The Missouri Fusion Center ( MIAC ) needs to be held responsible, the Governor, the Highway State Patrol and the Director of Public Safety for not having the oversight in place to protect the civil liberties, 1st ammendment rights of the citizens! All of them!
Then.. the DHS which provides funding for the fusion center networks ( over 70 nationwide ) for not having adequate oversight of thier information sharing databases! see map: http://www.aclu.org/priva...
It was reported here who actually provided this 'particular data' for the document: http://www.dailypaul.com/... No surprise there! They did it in Clinton era Militia panic and 1960's also! But these centers get there data from many other sources also!!
And THIS is what must be understood THESE CENTERS SHARE THE SAME DATA NATIONWIDE!

So, if you get this far..the questions are: Will all those that are responsible be held accountable? Will the data be REMOVED from the databases NATIONALLY? What protections will be put in place or how do we assure the current protections we are supposed to have be enforced?
Keep in mind...this was only ONE document from ONE fusion center that happened to be leaked!!

However
being mindful of future reports doesn't cut it either. The fusion center was responsible (I think) and the fusion center needs to be addressed in this matter for complete satisfaction.

It needs to be addressed to the fusion center, in Missouri that is MIAC which in turn is funded by DHS! This is a most aggrievous assault on our 1st amendment rights especially where it comes to political expression!
