I read about Sherry Jackson over a year ago. Supposedly she was a top IRS agent who won many awards for outstanding work. After being an IRS agent for some years, she decided that she needed to spend more time at home with her children (or something like that) so she retired.

During her time as a stay-at-home mom, a friend called to tell her about a full-page ad that was in some big newspaper (I think the USA Today). The ad offered a $50,000 reward for anyone who could point out the law requiring US citizens to pay income tax.

Jackson felt this would be an easy task for her since she was so good at her previous job as an IRS agent. Soon after starting her research she realized that the IRS "guidelines" that she was trained to apply in her job were only guidelines and were not actual law. I think by the end of the third week of researching she realized that she was NEVER going to find the law requiring US citizens to pay income taxes, because that law did not exist.

So, Sherry Peel Jackson went from being a top IRS agent to being a top activist against the IRS and the Income Tax.

I think it was in 2008 when she ended up in jail....

She went to prison February? 2008 and received 4 years. She won't be out til 2012!

What's the source of all these horror stories about the prison running air conditioners in 40 degree weather?

It's very confusing given the info posted from last year together with her website, not knowing if it is updated or not, finding out exactly what her status is. Does anyone know FOR SURE whether she is IN, OUT, or somewhere in between? Can it be verified?

If this poor woman, who did so much for the cause, is rotting away in a prison in GA unbeknownst to us, it would be great if somehow we can in some way, help her.

Go to prison? I think I heard my husband say that she talked in D.C. when he went there. I didn't think she was in prison now. Does anyone know the story?

This came from the Ron Paul forums. Sherry Peel Jackson is the former IRS agent who exposed her former employer and appeared in America From Freedom to Fascism.

I'd like to help her somehow.

Stuff like this just makes me want to give up and move to Belize.

IRS/DOJ Railroad/Kidnap Victim "Sherry Jackson" is SICK in an Atlanta Prison

Dear Friend of Sherry Jackson,

Sherry is an inmate in the Atlanta detention center. She has become ill because of the conditions in the jail. She has been placed on antibiotics because of a high fever and severe chest congestion.

The problem is two fold.

First, the building temperature is generally 50 degrees and the air conditioner is used constantly, causing freezing temperatures. Inmates are not allowed to have more than 2 paper- thin blankets.

Secondly, due to greed, the inmates are being fed food with zero nutritional value, which
violates national health standards. The inmates are served bologna that is more colorful than the paint section at Home Depot. The juice served should be 100%, instead, the juice is served without the ingredients listed from bags which look like plasma bags. The trays often have dead roaches on them.

Please bombard Chief Frank Seizer @ 404-885-8000 or the person in charge when he is absent, in order to plead with him to turn off the air conditioner when the temperature outside is 50 degrees of below and to serve food according to the guidelines of the national health institute.

Sherry mentioned that while listening to a radio broadcast it was indicated that the temperature outside was 43 degrees, she witness a bone chilling breeze from the jails air conditioning system.

Sherry is located on the 4th floor in downtown Atlanta.

The wind chill factors make it extremely cold. Sherry had begged the officers to turn off the air conditioner, but no one seems to care. She realizes the low temperature reduce the incidents of air borne diseases such as tuberculosis, however this is extreme cold.

She also realizes that her body can't fight disease without proper nutrition.

Additionally, if you write Sherry, put a return address on your letter or it will be thrown in the trash.

She IS a hero, a Patriot, a woman who put it all on the line for US.
