Should we have Boston Tea Party Re-Enactment

I just emailed Trevor Lyman asking him this:

To really capitalize on media attention for the Tea Party, how much would it cost to rent the people who do the Tea Party re-enactment on the ships, but have Ron Paul signs on the ship, and on their shirts and hats? And whatever else seems a good idea?

How would this look on TV IN ADDITION to the blimp flying over head and also dumping tea and / or tea bags?

Could a separate account be set up on teaparty07.com and ronpaulblimp.com for this?

(Info on the blimp at ronpaulblimp.com )

Anyone live in Boston who could research this please?

Throw dollars instead of tea?

How about they throw dollars? That might better make our point. And it would get more attention. Not TOO MUCH money.. i mean it's still money.

Main Stream Media is expecting that...

I think Main Stream Media is very much expecting that.....

Who can organize a reenactment.... with a modern Ron Paul flare?

Back then they all dressed as Indians...... today we should all dress as Saudi Muslims? Mmmmm I don't know which costume...mmmm...

Is it possible to get Ron Paul T Shirts on the ship?

I understand that the city of Boston does a re-enactment with the ship anyway.

Could someone local ask the city - what would it cost to get Ron Paul t shirts on some of the sailors?

If that isn't allowed, here's another thought - what say Ron Paul supporters get their OWN row boats and fill them up with tee-shirted supporters, and row out them out to the boat?

The people in the row boat would need to dress up of course

And dump the tea at the same time that the city does.

Stephanie

Is the ship included in all of this?

Without the ship and the original clothing, it will look cheesy.

Im hurt right now but I wanted to video tape dumping tea

I wanted to video tape me a few friends dressed as indians dumping tea into the Boston harbor with a Ron Paul sign then send it to news stations

No Mystery Powders, Please

I'm pretty sure if you're convicted of a felony you won't be able to vote. ;)

It's in the works as we speak....

A few folks are getting together tonight to make this happen:

http://ronpaul.meetup.com...

The idea being formed as we speak is this: we'll all drive and park at the Boston Commons underground parking, walk the Freedom trail to Faneuil Hall (hopefully hundreds {thousands?} of us) have a rally from 2 to 4 pm in Faneuil Hall itself with speakers, Ron Paul songs, a live screen to see the donation meter get into the $Millions!! and at 5 pm all go to the Tea Party re-enactment ... Imagine the news... the videos of the event with hundreds {thousands?} of RP signs!!

Stay tuned... then let's all of us in New England show up and make this money-bomb a HUGE historical event.

i like the idea of hiring re-enacters

Since the video of this event will probably be picked up by the local tv affiliates, then go national when the money drops, we want to make sure the event looks as good as possible. maybe the boston meetups could contact the re-enacters and we could all toss in some dough for it.

Make it the "Boston TV Party"

Please, use mock ups (cardboard) TVs with ABC, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, CBS, Federal Reserve on their screens.
And throw them overboard.
Dont forget to video, Heck make that a LIVE feed on Justin TV (even better) LOL

LMFAO

that would be great

one guy.

trevor lyman is a guy who put up a web site. no need to email him. its not like he has all the answers. if you want to do this then organize it. dont just hand it off to someone else via email and think something will be accomplished.

ron paul 2008

True - but he has the email addresses

Plus this should be co-ordinated with the blimp.

Great idea

I think we should make it a "Texas Tea" party. Texas tea being slang for oil, since most of us believe that is what these wars in the middle east are really about. It becomes a double pun due to Ron Paul being a congressman from Texas. However, obviously we couldn't dump real oil in lakes/rivers/the ocean due to the environmental impact and the blow back that would cause, so instead fill up fake oil drums with water colored black instead. Something environmentally safe, but for symbolic effect.

A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having -V

Was thinking the same thing

I was thinking that they should dump Federal Reserve notes into the harbor as a protest. That should get some attention.

http://www.TeaPartyMoneyB...

Dumping Federal Reserve notes

Don't dump FR notes in the water...that's pollution...and would be viewed negatively...plus, Ron Paul needs our donations.

We could dump (or pretend to dump) them overboard...but dump them into baskets that read "Ron Paul reLOVElution".

How about Tax Returns

They are free at the Post office...

Boston Meetup is all over it

The Boston meetup is planning an event in Boston. Since it's finals week it would be cool to organize "tea party" study breaks on campuses all around the country----make cookies and tea and invite people to meetup and make a donation to the campaign.

I think that would be a

I think that would be a blast; however, the media could spin it in a way that would reflect negatively. It may be too risky.

how?

How could they spin it in a negative way?

i am for it

negative spin: -littering Boston harbor with Fed Notes :-)

But I think on the whole it is a great idea.

Perhaps re-enactment could be done on Saturday, so videos of it could be used as a last minute ad for the donations.

Good Quality filming is CRUCIAL

Top quality cameras and cameramen - TV Quality - of the event is crucial.

I've suggested this

but I wanted to be a little more modern about it and use KoolAid (the kind they've been feeding us for years) and dump that red powder into the reflecting pool in D.C. .

Koolaid? As in red koolaid? No. Too bloody

I like the koolaid idea, but like many ideas I like, it doesn't fit the Ron Paul campaign.

Nice idea

Nice idea!
