Non - Intervention foreign policy !

(I just can't see the Republican party wrapping their heads around that)
Unfortunately...

man, that was a great speech - very inspiring!

amazon.com

wonderful

thank you!

Que tai si...?

Great drop !

Thanks Fox Creek ! This is the main reason I voted for Ron Paul's candidate, Chuck Baldwin for President.

Too bad I'm in a hopelessly Blue state, Obama's Illinois.

Unfortunately, because of the economy,

there will be many more young men who will sign up for the services, just for a job. How sad!

yeah

it's terrible when you try to escape poverty by risking going to war

Sure is.

The dictators can not continue with their schemes without the "Universal Soldiers" and I have pledged no more from my family and friends. It is a start.

Brother

My 4th cousin (same surname) is in the USMC delayed entry program. You would think his dad my 3rd cousin and former Marine, and his grandfather my second cousin, a WW II, Chesty Puller, Peleliu, Marine would talk him out of it ? The Peleliu Marines brother (Army - KIA) was shot in the throat by a Japanese sniper in Cebu, Philippines. My Grandfather, a WW I Marine and uncle to these boys was shell-shocked (PTSD) and mustard gassed in France; he hung himself at Great Lakes Naval Hospital after being committed.

I've already sent the boys grandfather Smedleys books, War is a Racket, Maverick Marine, and The Plot to Seize the White House. I'm going to call the boys father this weekend, he was in one of my old Regiments, the 11th Marines.

His grandfather told me there were no jobs for the boy in Southern Illinois. My Marine grandfather has a job there - pushing up daisy's >> http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s143/10thzodiac/Richard.jpg

I tried talking my sisters boy out of joining; the last I heard he was crying he wanted out of boot-camp and the Marines called his mother twice. Everybody has to find out for themselves, albeit too late.

Like Ron said...

once you have awakened to what is really going on it becomes your responsibility to enlighten the others. We know first hand and it is time to stop being mesmerized by words like patriotic duty, country, etc., especially when used to support another lie. They are simple actions words to stir the senses and motivate immature men into something that they wish that never signed on for. I had to threaten cutting off funding for college for each of my boys and I had real screaming matches until I had my way. But, I had my way....there is "nothing good" about war.

I have this little 11 year old grandson

that has way too much testosterone, and keeps telling everyone he wants to join the Marines. I even had him watch the movie, "Full Metal Jacket" trying to scare him. His dad (Mr. Testosterone) is even on board now trying to get this idea out of his head, but as he says, he wants to go to army camp.

His older 15 y/o sister says the Marine recruiters set up a skate board ramp at her high school along with a chin-up bar. They are giving Marine Corps Stickers to the kids for chin-ups. She's on board and tells the poolies what her grandpa told her. One told her, but I don't know what to do with my life. Sound familiar ?

I set my living trust up so they have to finish college before they can cash out or wait until they are thirty-five as a non-military deterrent. I figure by the time they finish college they'll hopefully be less naive.

Well, that's two of us...

Only 300,000,000 more to go. :)
By the way...that grainy, old black and white photo you attached...Is one of those boys you by Grand Dads grave?

The boys -

are my father (R) his brother (L).

Dad and his brother were drafted WW II, both army. Dad's brother fought the Japanese in the Philippines. Dad was a general hospital medic, clinical breakdown (PTSD), died 39 y/o.

Their WW I father said he would take them out and shoot them his-self if there was another war.

Sorry to hear about that...

it's time to stop the craziness...no "Universal Soldiers" no dictators.

What's funny

My above uncle who fought the Japanese, I had asked his advice about joining the Marines. He told me it was a good idea. Even funnier, when his boy wanted to join after my five years I put in, they wanted me to talk him out of it. I did.

Mom's brother, joined the army the day after Pearl Harbor and when I was in the Marines in '65 he asked me to crank up his step-son into joining the Marines. My uncle and his 2nd wife were alcoholics and the boy would beat the shit out of my uncle when his mom was fighting with him. They gave the boy special leave from Vietnam to come home for his mother's murder trial for stabbing my uncle to death. When that uncle was younger he was a fearless Pollock you didn't want to mess with. After his army boot camp he caught up with his drill sergeant and beat him until he could pronounce his name right. His Polish surname rhymed with son-of-a-bitch.

Too funny/sad...

We're going to need our own web site so that we don't bore the younger Paulers. I've got a few to share too. In the mean time...my wife instructed me to not sit up all night as I am committed to taking her out for a "Mothers Day" brunch in the morning. Don't forget Mothers Day or you end up on the "brow beat" list.

I thought the same thing too

Albeit well meaning, this guy doesn't look or sound like the part he is portraying. We need someone that is gungie !

I think you're our guy Richard.

I was going to suggest yuo for the role--honest abe.

Good people like you -

Make it all worth while, thanks.
