Has Adam already decided whether he will run as a GOP, Indy or third party? If he runs as a Republican, and wins a possible primary (GOP candidate got 33% and green-left Indy double digits, I think) Ron Paul can endorse him and he can get funding from Liberty PAC etc. but he has to sort things out and discuss with local GOP, or he can run as Indy with backing for the GOP and third parties. If he runs as a LP or CP, he will be restricted, I think. He could alternatively run as a member of the Independence Party (contact the leader, they are strong in Minnesota and also in NY) or perhaps Jefferson Republican party, to be registered in NM.

Dr. Paul would also not be able to endorse him if he does not run as a Republican. Maybe he should take Gary Johnson with him to talk to the GOP, or some respected Republican in NM, as some of them might have some issues with his RNC behaviour (not that I would disagree with his actions)...e.g. some reconciliation. He can tell them he may can appeal to those that voted for the Indy candidate as well as some of the Democrats, that would also be very anti-Afghan war and in a big tent party all should be welcomed. He should be diplomatic.
