Remember the Pastor that was tazed and beaten? Watch.
They now have footage from the actual incident , This is disturbing , They smashed the guys window and shot him with the tazer while he's still in the drivers seat screaming and yelling. They state in the video that he was being detained because he simply would not "OBEY" the officer.

The officer was confused about what a free country is supposed to be all about. Oh wait... Individual Liberty ring any bells officer? Get it?? Liberty... Bell....
cops vs. citizens
I really do not understand WHY he did not get out of the car ,what is the big deal at the check point ? You do not have to give concent for anything but you can simply let them do their thing, which is open to lawyers to work out..IT is different if there is a "clear" breaking of legal authority on a police action...
you-no
confusious is just a thead bumper
Daily Paul would be better if it was one account per IP & ID.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Doltish Post
Why not just "let them do their thing"?
Why are you here? What is it that you want from your affiliation with Ron Paul? What is YOUR definition of "do their own thing"? And what are YOUR limitations to "letting them"?
Hey, while we're at it, why not let them taze people for smoking when they stop them? I mean, even if it is somehow a usurpation of their rights, it is "good" for them...right? Wouldn't it be good for the rest of us as well since the smoke escapes into the environment? I guess it should be allowed then? Or it should, at the very least, be left up to the discretion of the officer...you-no?
If stopping you for "your papers" without probable cause IS'NT a "clear violation" I don't know what is...you-no?

THAT PASTOR IS AN AWFUL PERSON
Hi Ron Paulers. Just to let you know where I am coming from, I'm not a big Ron Paul fan. That, of course, doesn't mean I"m right, I'm just trying to disclose.
Okay, regarding the pastor. I would first like to note that I most certainly agree that law enforcement can get out of hand and/or corrupt from time to time and, as citizens, they are to be accountabe to us.
But, that's not my primary focus here. It turns out that the pastor, little Stevie Boy Chandler, is a hate-mongering psycho.
Below is a link to one of his sermons. There are many more sermons on the website, feel free to browse.

Take care. I know you all are some of the hardest working grass roots people there are.
Chris
Shall We Judge You on Your Personal Beliefs or the Law?
Pastor Anderson was standing up for the law, the Supreme Law.
That is highly commendable.
His personal beliefs are of no relevance.
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
Hmm
Your disclaimer says it all..
Might as well read..
"Hi Freedom and Liberty lovers. Just to let you know where I am coming from, I'm not a big Constitution fan. That, of course, doesn't mean I"m right, I'm just trying to disclose."
Much more clear...your obviously in the wrong neighborhood, but we could sure open your eyes if you would stick around and keep an open mind. It takes some study and we do ask that you do some of your own research and not take our words for it...just like we would ask that you not be brainwashed by the government approved mainstream media.
It's your choice.
Even if:
the pastor is an AWFUL person, he still has rights under the Constitution. That is what we are arguing here. We aren't arguing for him personally. We don't know him and we might not like him. We probably don't like everything about each other here. But, we celebrate each other's rights. I will defend to the end his rights, even if it is to do something I don't agree with.
So, thanks for the info. We don't want to paint the guy as a hero, we just want liberty and the Constitution followed.

Hmm
Steve parent returns and his crones are with him?
?
Who?
**“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.” ~ Mark Twain **
LOL
EXACTLY! Sorry you missed out on the whole Steve Parent episode..perhaps we could catch you up to speed, but really it wouldn't be worth your time, so consider yourself blessed.
Chris....Chris...Chris...
WTF dude? I guess it shouldn't surprise us given your caveat concerning Ron Paul.
So, what, in your world, constitutes a "worthy" beating as opposed to an "unworthy" one? Who exactly should the Cops attack for standing up for their rights as opposed to who they shouldn't? Do hair style and clothing come into your bigotry? How about body weight? I mean, you know, fat people aren't very smart or responsible individuals given that they probably are littering all over the place with those McDonald's wrappers.
I just can't wait for some of those Cops to beat the shit out of fat people and maybe knock some sense into them. When the fat people get the message of who is in charge and who they must obey and that overeating is not to be tolerated, then they can concentrate on the REAL problem...smokers. All smokers should be stopped by Cops and tazed. After all they are a bane to society and NOBODY can argue that someone who pollutes the very air we breathe is anything but an awful person and deserves whatever the state wants to dish out.
Then, after the "awful" smokers are dealt with, we can turn to those assholes that buy foreign cars. Now they are truly awful and are, in fact, terrorists who have frightened the masses with their un-patriotic buying habits. Anyone driving a foreign made vehicle should be tazed for it...simply cuz I don't like foreign made vehicles...they are truly "awful". And if they don't get the message after being tazed, I hope the Cops drag their freakin' faces through broken glass and bust a few ribs...boy that'll get 'em behind the wheel of a Chevette...

You're missing the big picture...
You are new here but, welcome...stick around and we will open your eyes.
When you leave you will feel like you have just been baptized.
If you are not a big Ron Paul fan, what don't you like....
about him? Please list your dislikes, so we can see where you are coming from. I suspect that this is not the place for you.
The Constitution is also for hate mongering psychos like you.
You're "not a big Ron Paul
You're "not a big Ron Paul fan" so do you deserve to be beaten and tazered by fascist pigs??? NO because this is America and her fundamentals are built on freedom and liberty.
So what kind of anti-American fan are you?
I really dont care what he preaches.
So your stance is that because you do not like what he preaches, he "deserved" what he got? sorry, i am not picking up what you are laying down.
Be careful Jane..
not to step in it either.
So?
Do you have something against hate mongering psychos? Hate monger.
BTW I think he is simply a man of conviction. He also goes out door to door and shares the gospel with people because he doesn't want them to go to hell. This is his belief. He lives it, and he is persecuted for it, and he keeps living it none-the-less. I have listened to several of his sermons and found him to be quite a patriot and well versed on our founders ideals. I don't always agree with what I heard from him, and even think he tends to be a bit angry from the pulpit for my taste, but I can't fault the guy for preaching what he believes, and living it too.
The great thing about
The great thing about liberty is that people with all different views should be protected from senseless violence at the hands of the state. I may not agree with what you say, but should I not join with you in defending your right to say it?
You're missing the point....
If the driver of the vehicle in the video was Hitler that still isn't going to matter. The officers had no right to do what they did. PERIOD.
It is telling that you are not a Ron Paul supporter.. you have no conception of the term personal liberty. Those of us that understand the term naturally gravitate towards Ron Paul. Those that don't just don't ~get~ him. We're used to that... ;)
If your primary focus is to point out that Mr. Chandler has his own opinions, then you have done so. In a real America, he would be allowed that.
Which doesn't change the fact that he should not have been treated as he did in America.
So you come here for 12 minutes
And try to justify torture and beatings because of what this man was preaching.
I don't care if it was Hitler incarnate in that car, it's still Unconstitutional and against his rights.
Understand this and reevaluate your stance.
Hey!
We both used Hitler as an example.. jinx!!!!
Did you actually listen? What is hate mongering about it?
"What was taken from the boomers, it ain't there, what was taken from the X'ers it ain't there, what is being taken from their great, great, great squared grandchildren it ain't there. Some generation just has to have the guts to quit passing it on." Me
so?
He has a right to be an awful person - if that were the case.
Lawsuit
I hope there is a lawsuit underway.
Ahh yes, the lawsuit!
Of course! With sovereign immunity the actual people who assaulted the pastor won't have to pay a dime, even if there's a judgement or deal that favors the pastor.
Who'll pay? The taxpayers will.
I agree, he ought to be able to sue. But he ought to be able to sue the individuals who violated his rights, not me by proxy through the government.
Perhaps a civil suit?
It worked in O.J.'s case....
Flagged as inappropriate?
Looks to me like some are abusing the flagging option to reduce the view count.
Sometimes spreading truth is harder than spreading lies.
Sometimes?

Army of protestors
There needs to be a patriot army of these type of protestors, shut down these checkpoints, clog the roads up ... shut them down. Make them not work!!
Yes
The effect of the army is first to get the BP to waive through people who know their rights. They won't be shut down until others know their rights, too, and everyone is waived through. Clogs will only happen early on until the BPs realize people actually know their rights.
This kind of activity
will eventually result in backlash against police officers.
It might take a while, and it has, but at some point people are not going to take this anymore.
Since I must assume that law-enforcement officials know this, then I can only conclude that they are purposely trying to incite violent reactions from the public.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech
quick tidbit about this
I was watching something similar on you tube the other day. It was naked wizard taized at a concert or something. The crowd was asking the police to let him stay, and he was taizered and abused, while the crowd watched in horror. I said to my girlfriend "pretty soon the crowds are going to get tired of seeing this. Sadly but also luckily they didn't do anything. But still holds true sooner or later people will start protecting each other, and when that happens even just once. Who knows what kind of spark that might set off.
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."
Albert Einstien
I keep waiting ...
It won't be long before a few heavy handed cops get the crap beat out of them by a mob.
You mean like this

Police brutality or what?!
Police brutality or what?! Sad, but not uncommon. You guys in America must be used to that. Cops seem to just walk all over you, and if you don't let them... then God help you. God help you all anyways!
Not much of a surprise
I am not surprised at the actions of the officers. They do not get hired because they are sweet and nice. They apply in the first place because they like to stomp people. Not all, but plenty.
The object of the game is for the civilian - me -to get home safe. If that means throwing the dogs a bone, then I will do it. I don't need the aggravation of having my car smashed or my life endangered because some mindless thugs forgot their oath to uphold the Constitution. It's just not worth it.
Unfortunately...
Nothing is going to happen to these officers.
Arizona Revised Statutes 28-622. Failure to comply with police officer; classification
A. A person shall not wilfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of a police officer invested by law with authority to direct, control or regulate traffic.
B. A person who violates this section is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor.
http://www.azleg.state.az...
What's likely to occur if the pastor pursues this is that he'll be banging his head against the wall of qualified immunity.
I know you guys would disagree that the order was lawful, but in all honesty, that's just not a fight you're going to win in front of a judge.
I'm not sure, but I don't think the pastor even has federal civil rights legislation to stand on either in this.
He should contact the ACLU, if he hasn't already.
The Fourth Amendment...
...protects the right of the people to be secure in their persons against unreasonable searches and seizures. It does not equivocate and it does not specify Fe'ral or State level abuse. Lacking a warrant or probable cause (supported by oath or affirmation), the uniformed bullies were not issuing "lawful orders". Not, of course, that any of that matters to the mindless drones of modern America.
wait..
are they Arizona state employees or Federal Border Guards? And weren't basic Constitutional rights violated? Was such extreme force necessary when they knew this preacher and saw him in their checkpoint often?
I assume they had an unknowing sucker Arizona cop come in and lied to him about the dog sensing something and therefore got their revenge.....for now. Payback is coming.
Looks like we need to contact Arizona Tourism Office
It sure got their attention in Missouri. I honestly was considering a trip to Arizona this summer. Who needs to deal with that? Looks like the cacti aren't the only pricky things in the state. Where do they find these mindless bastards?
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
I already cancelled / changed my summer plans
to avoid Arizona..
Or any state that has these checkpoints.
Hey OctoBox.
what is your take on this one.. Constitutional and Bill of Rights Supporters are quivering from shock to know.
What's with the pretty music
like this was an Enya type video?
Something a little more heart thumping would be called for.
