Dennis Kucinich is Sneaky.

He was the 218th Cosponsor of H.R. 1207. He's been toying with us all along!

Hmm

Let's hope he's not one of the first to withdraw his support when the Fed lobby puts pressure on him.

I'll write him a thank you letter, since I also wrote him urging his support for 1207.

huh?

you mean... these dudes can change their mind??? I thought the vote was final.

This is not a vote

This is a Co-sponsorship. Meaning, they add their name to the bill, claiming they agree with it and want to sponsor (support) it.

The Fed is pushing back with their moneymen now to entice reps to back off their sponsorship. Yes, a rep may withdraw their sponsorship from this bill at this time.

Here's some info about that:
http://thomas.loc.gov/bss/abt_cosp.html

"Occasionally, a member may choose to withdraw cosponsorship. If that happens, the line with the member's name in the cosponsor display indicates cosponsorship "withdrawn" and the date of the withdrawal."

Here is the list of cosponsors (currently at 208), which will also show those who have withdrawn (none so far):

GOOD!

Perhaps my non-citizen phone call from abroad did it :)

I really wish I knew what was going on behind the scenes.
Kucinich pretending to play the elite game by passing a watered down bill and then switching over? There are some parts of what we see we'll never understand. But the vote is what really matters.
He voted yes, then he's our buddy again :)
