NEW YORK , NEW YORK - On his show "Countdown" last night Keith Olberman attempts to drag Ron Paul's name through the mudd by associating him with the White Supremacist Von Brunn with the biggest stretch yet attempted by old-media hacks. Mr. Olbermann's stretched analysis was:
"A man who shares a phone number with a woman who's listed as a Michigan co-ordinator for former Presidential Candidate Ron Paul."

Back in his presidential campaign Ron Paul was tagged with this same kind of nonsense. Someone the media referred to as a racist gave money to the Paul Campaign. Ron Paul gave the truthful response when he said, he supports me, I don't support him.
There's no way for a candidate to control or even know all the campaign staff. Every candidate has loony support, even an intelligent, decent man like Ron Paul.
Olberman is what he is, a dishonest partisan political hack posing as an impartial commentator. The problem is Olberman and his lack of shame.
She wasn't the Michigan coordinator
She was a county coordinator for Ottawa County, a volunteer position. In other words, she was not on staff to the campaign and never possessed any authority to speak for it.
It's impossible for a state coordinator to know each county volunteer well enough to know whether any of them have any skeletons in the closet. There aren't enough hours in the day. Look, even Presidents' staff periodically fail to properly vet nominees for positions reporting to the President.

I'm not doubting you, I just would like to be able to see something concrete to back it up. Saying "according to Shvenzlerman at DailyPaul's forums, who provides no evidence..." isn't exactly authoritative.

I'm pissed at Olbermann for bringing it up, but we also need to self-reflect on this. If this woman truly is involved with that racist scumbag, Ron Paul needs to cut her loose. From what Olbermann said, she "shares a phone number" (so ostensibly she shares a home or an office?) with the person who was given the reigns over the shooter's racist website.
Sorry, there is no room for racists in Ron Paul's inner circle. It simply cannot be condoned.

I never said it was truthful reporting. I suggested it should be investigated. In fact, in the other thread I explicitly couched that by saying we needed action to cut the woman loose unless the information reported is false or there's some good explanation.

You'd think a troofer like you would understand the difference between advocating a specific theory of what happened and saying clearly "we need an investigation." I guess you only see what you want to see, and defame anyone you disagree with with your lies.

You can't support MSM after what they did to him during the election. Right here on Daily Paul we watched Ron win the poll and watched MSM take it down.. we had a hell of a fight with MSM, and Ron Paul conceeded to MSM before he conceeded to McCain!! So your idea that MSM.. if you are into MSM, and I think you are, why is YouTube news all international and not American? It appears to me, the USA MSM is going down on the international level. I supported Ron Paul from January 2007 through the present. I walked around in the dead of winter petitioning to get him on the ballot and handing out slim jims. I'll wager dollars to donuts that I've put more time into his campaign than you. So I deeply resent the idiotic implication that I didn't support Ron Paul during the election.
So you can say MSM all you want, as if that means something other than a buzzword distraction. And you can man up and apologize for accusing me of not supporting Ron Paul, or reveal yourself Or you can join your "brothers" like Devon_Saunders and SIERRA as serial liars and defamers who deserve to be banned from this site and ostracized from this movement not just for their fringe views, but for their violations of standards of honesty and decency.

As far as the connection goes it could be as simple as a shared office space or a web domain host. Since it was in reference in changing his web hosting.
If this is the case (pure speculation at this point) then this is a dangerous precedent to hold ISPs full accountable for all the content on their websites.
However lest we forget the FCC shut down a large ISP last Friday without a trial claiming child porn and viruses.

this would hardly be inner circle. Remember anybody could volunteer during the campaign to be a precinct captain or a co-ordinator. there was no screening process whatsoever. Recall there was the story that got some press in Michigan about a stormfronter being a precinct captain.
