I called Claire McCaskill's

I called Claire McCaskill's DC office and some staffer said that if a Senator co-sponsors a bill it doesn't mean they will vote for it? And thus conversely, they could (obviously) vote for it and not co-sponsor.

Anyway, I'd like to force the Senators to give a reason why they won't support the bill and kind of push them into a corner of defending the indefensible.

She probably feels pretty

She probably feels pretty safe toeing the party line since she's not up for reelection until 2012. By then she thinks her constituents will have forgotten, because they always do. Voters short memories are what politicians count on.
