Below is a link about the currency war that may be about to explode.
"There are meetings being held Monday and Tuesday in Yekaterinburg, Russia, among Chinese President Hu Jintao, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and other top officials of the six-nation Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The United States, which asked to attend, was denied admittance. Watch what happens there carefully. The gathering is, in the words of economist Michael Hudson, “the most important meeting of the 21st century so far.”
If you hear rumblings of war and the justification to bomb someone, this will likely be the underlying reason.

If the BRIC counties don’t plot the assassination here it will be at the next meeting. I would think it will be done when our govt is not aware, like a cultural exchange conference focused on the social value of cricket, table tennis and hockey.
How long do we expect other countries to allow us to steal their wealth through inflation?

This is a pretext for WWIII ! The warmongers in power will not hesitate to go to war rather then go down with this ship. This is why the dollar has not collapsed completely yet because China and Russia know this. This is why China is buying up all the resources they can and they are buying most of the gold in the world too. They preparing for war. So is Russia because they know the criminals in power will not go down without a fight.
I doubt it will all fall apart next week but when they think they are ready they will pull the plug completely on the dollar. They are trading FRN's for tangible items at the moment like we all should be doing .
There is one other possibility and that is this is all orchestrated to wring in a one world currency so six to one or half dozen to the other as to which would be worse; war or one world currency foisted on us. Part of me would rather have the war but be careful what you wish for...

This is a foregone conclusion. Their decision was already made. The reaction from the West is what shall be interesting.

Kevin, why within the week? I've been so busy with work for the last few weeks that I haven't been able to keep up with all the news recently. What exactly is going on which makes you think this week is it?
I think they will make their announcement within a week.
It may be longer before they implement. I'm just guessing based on the news articles I've seen.

I don't think there will be any announcement
I think the pieces are in place, and the trading will just be done in other currencies, and our nation will just "mysteriously" slip into third world status.
There are two big factors involved here.
1. The US is still a major buying customer
2. The US still has unprecedented military superiority and can drop a bomb on any front door in the world.
Also the listening capabilities to monitor anyone anytime is what turned the tide in Iraq.

the u.s. is a big customer for chinese imports, but only 337.8 billion dollars in 1,428.5. if they drop the dollar, they won't need us as a big customer any longer. and china alone has millions more active duty military personnel than we do.

On their military.
Most of those soldiers are for keeping the peace at home, since they don't have the ability to move them anywhere. In a modern war, most would be cannon fodder. It does mean that it is impossible to really invade china though.

Most of our military budget is spent garrisoning soldiers in 137 countries around the world which makes us more vulnerable. Also with the known waste in government spending like $500 dollar hammers and stuff I wouldn't put to much stock in the spending difference. It's probably more frugal vs bloated bureaucracy.

Are Russia and China willing to risk loosing one of their best customer as well as getting the hell bombed out of them!
There is zero danger of the US bombing Russia or China.
The United States does not have a national defense. It has a military designed for aggression only. In a strategic war involving serious weapons like ICBMs, the nation with no defenses automatically loses.
The US power structure knows this, and so do the Russians and Chinese.

The best defense is a good offense
or at least that is the U.S. military Doctrine. Our government decided during the cold war, that trying to have much of a civil defense against a nuclear war, and making plans for digging out afterward was futile, The better strategy was a pre-emptive one - basically, don't wait until the other guy takes a swing at you. Note how Israel does it.
It's not a good strategy, however. It's suicide in a nuclear war
I hate to sound conspiratorial, but I think the real reason that we have no protection for the civilian population is because they don't want anything to protect the civilian population.
Possibly because so many Americans are armed, I think the tyrants want the civilian population to be held hostage in any strategic war.

No, that's an offensive capability.
If Russia wanted to clean the US off the surface of the world forever, they could do it in one day.
The same is not true with the shoe on the other foot. Russia and China have a capability to dig in and hit us in a second wave. Much of their industry would survive an American nuclear attack, and much of their population would, in large clusters. The same is not true of the U.S., which has zero civil defense protection for the masses,and very little industry to start with. Yes, I have no doubt that Dick Cheney and other geriatric VIPs would survive a nuclear attack in their clandestine bunkers, but I think you'd have a hard time utilizing them as infantrymen afterward.
As for our weapons being better, I think that's mostly P.R. baloney intended to offset the fact that their nuclear capabilities are so high. We have some superiority in some categories of conventional weaponry. For the most part, though, it's a myth.

And for feeding themselves...have you been food shopping lately? Do you read labels? Have you noticed where our food is coming from? Not much is produced here anymore.
Even big names food manufacturers have moved their operations out of this country. In the near future we may be the ones who are unable to feed ourselves.
During WWII there was food rationing in this country. People were given rationing coupons and were limited in what they could buy. I certainly would not want to see that again. And that's when we actually produced our own food.

You may not appreciate my reasoning, but a few years ago, Kucinich petitioned to have Cheney impeached. Allot of us put pressure on RP to back Kucinich. Ron Paul did not. RP said, "look who's signing it. Look at all those neocons. Why do you think the neocons are signing that? Because they can beat it." It was a lame excuse, but what all you've got is RP, you don't have much when it comes to winning.
So who signs 1207? The neocons and the neolibs, the republicrats.. the globalists. The ones who want the IMF to run the Fed, which is not most of the world or the American people. I'm past it. I wrote and sent letters and I think Geithner and Obama have their orders to "dismantle" the fed and turn it over to the IMF/UN. Geithner was going to make the case to keep the Fed, as a stand to keep America, but he cancelled that this week. RP has mentioned working on the non coersion healthcare 2629 and I began writing letters and informing activists about that... it is a very HOT topic here where Democrats register 52% Green Party 6% Indy 28% GOP is basically a third party and I believe it's being controlled by Democrats, and it's illegal as hell, and for the money, allot of money, one can buy the whole boot, which is connected to Arnold Kennedy nee Schwartzenegger..anyways.. the fct medical maraijuana is legal here, I might get some traction for 2629 which would introduce more people to RP... least we forget my congressman's excuse for not supporting 1207 was RP is a Republican. That's a nasty word around here where McCain didn't have a sign, but Ron Paul had a banner that stayed up for 4 1/2 months. ;))

I have to tell you, we just had a an excellent quilt show in Fort Bragg and I thought of you. I volunteer for historical societies, and I love the centinial quilts... anyways.. I hope to make some time to quilt myself (I hope this year).
I feel like we get spun. Like the tea parties. Everything is a good idea and they want to steal it... and so I'm thinking, the way to not be damned is let them steal it.. who cares who started the tea party... Rumblings I heard were IMF
The rumblings I heard, intercepted by my tin foil hat, tells me the reason RP has talked down 1207 and suggested 2629 Healthcare, is that Obama and Geithner made a deal, and they didn't need congress or senate to turn the fed over to the IMF... there's not going to be any audit of review.. there's going to be the IMF (remember Woldowitz..) taking over the fed.
