It's a valid thread. I have not decided whether to be vaccinated for swine flu but I have been prepping for it.

I'm training myself to use bactericidal wipes as soon as I get into my van after stops at banks, stores, Post Office, etc. I wipe hands, face, door, steering wheel, etc and use them in the house as well. It's not that I live in fear of the present threat level, I fear my inability to alter my unconscious behavior quickly if the threat level suddenly worsens so I am conditioning myself now. I've laid in a good supply of face masks and nitrile gloves, even protective goggles, but I'm too vain to wear them till things get rather more lethal.

I'm also prepared for a month's isolation if it seems warranted, even converting my bedroom to a sick room in case I come down with this flu strain. It's good training for having to take care of myself when/if I move to the jungles of eastern Ecuador. I have an apartment fridge near my bed that's crammed with apple and cranberry juice (natural cytokine inhibitors) and am loaded up on OTC meds, vitamins, rubbing alcohol, water, canned foods, etc. that I should be able to access with minimal exertion if I am sick. I'll be able to make green tea (Another natural med) a cup at a time and use a hotplate on my dresser.

I relate these preparations to prove that I don't view the current pandemic as nothing more than a ruse by the global elites to get everyone to voluntarily receive injections of nano-RFID chips, fully virulent flu strains, or chemicals that will either sterilize of make us completely docile. To be honest, I don't know whether the "global elite" do or don't have any nefarious designs involving this flu and the vaccines for it. It could become a real killer pandemic, far beyond the norm of umpteen thousand deaths per flu season and toward that end I may decide the risk of not being vaccinated outweighs the risk of falling for and succumbing to a vile New World Order vaccination plot.

If the government declares martial law on the whole country and then attempts to force vaccinations on everyone you can kiss your second amendment goodbye. Gun Confiscation is part of the whole game, quit whining about gun laws and 1st and 4th amendments, they're all gone when they declare martial law remember Katrina? This is all part of the plan and I suggest everyone wake up and think about what that will do to the freedom movement, done, game over, massive death, no guns, no revolution.

Good grief!!! Over the last couple of days I have seen 4 active threads here on the vaccination subject-it is an important subject, but there are other things as important, if not more important right now to address. Arguing about something like this will get us nowhere, we are each entitled to make our own choices on these issues, and our rights to choose must be preserved. Everyone should become informed and decide for themselves. Live and let live and lets focus on other issues p-l-e-a-s-e folks. Usually when I check DP, I can get updates of what is going on, and important issues, it seems like this site is becoming all about vaccines-each person has his/her own beliefs on the subject and that's how it should be. Lets respect each others choices and let it be. We are supposed to be working on freedom here, not ramming our own ideas down each others' throats.

You use the Center for Disease CONTROL (vs Prevention) as evidence for your claim. Why don't we ask actual doctors?

Of course, that would be counter-productive to your claim, so let's look at Diphtheria vaccinations overseas...

Diphtheria vaccination programs have been followed by unprecedented diphtheria epidemics among the vaccinated populations. In Germany during World War II, diphtheria vaccinations were made mandatory. The Germans experienced an immediate 17% increase in diphtheria cases and a 600% increase in mortality. At the end of the war, the vaccinations were stopped. There was an immediate and dramatic decline in the number of cases, despite widespread malnutrition and poor living conditions.

But 4,500 deaths in 5 years on a population base of 148 million put the death toll at a staggering (LOL) .00003%. In other words, more Russian children died during that time period choking to death on an apple peel than died of your supposed epidemic.

The nice part about all of this is, if we actually have the freedom to do what we will with our children and our own bodies, this will become a moot issue. The vaccination-heavy portion of the population will simply take themselves out of the gene pool.

Diphtheria is extremely rare in America, and the living conditions here are superior to those in Russia during the outbreak. Vaccinations or not, a diphtheria outbreak in America is about as likely to happen as a swine flu epidemic.
