Is Geithner a foreigner, or is he representing a foreign entity when he's talking about the US and the recession? His comment was referencing the US government.

He is a shit salesman

Actually I think it's going to be the opposite. The FED will be villified and its machinations moved into the public sector, with more direct control by our federal government. Which isn't any better by the way. NO FED and NO manipulations of the monetary system would be the true answer.
They just move, "like water" in the path of least resistance. Since there is resistance building against the FED, it makes sense to cut off the limb to save the beast.
