Openly lesbian politician Linda Ketner outs Andre Bauer and Lindsey Graham

Bauer, a Republican, was referring to widely circulated rumors that he is gay. Last month, openly lesbian politician Linda Ketner outed Bauer and two other South Carolina lawmakers in an interview published on the progressive political blog Fire Dog Lake.

“We have more gay people serving in South Carolina than probably in any place in the United States. They're just not out of the closet,” she said, then gave the examples of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, South Carolina State Senator Glenn McConnell and Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer. Ketner, who came close to unseating incumbent S.C. Representative Henry Brown last November, later apologized for her remarks.

And don't forget

Lindsay Grahamnesty and John McCain went everywhere together for a period of 2 years or so. I suspect foul play here. McCain had that big puffy cheek thing going on around that same time frame, probably from having things put in his mouth. All that time at sea on the U.S.S Forrestfire must have gotten to the "maverick"

Thomas Jefferson once said, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground."

Well, I guess he called that one.

what a fag!

He is a hypocrite -
"Like Larry Craig, Graham has voted antigay — including for the federal marriage amendment — while people in South Carolina and Washington have discussed what some say is an open secret for a long, long time."

That said, I am also against a federal marriage amendment. Get government out of the marriage business - civil unions for all.

Lindsay Graham is gay? WOW who could have guessed?

Answer: Anybody .... that is anyone who listened to him talk for 5 minutes (or an hour or two if your ears need sharpening). Those verbal gay tics just slip in there... perhaps those tics are mother natures way of sexual advertising and it seems its been around for a very long time... http://www.springerlink.com/content/t18t2213605303j7/

Personally, I can't stand closeted gay conservative politicians. But there are no specifically 'verbal gay tics'. It's impossible to tell if someone is gay based on their voice. That's just a myth and a stereotype.

I don't agree

While I respect your premise, that the "lisp" is stereotyping, I experience counter culture dialect, or way of saying something to communicate that one is homosexual frequently. This language is used to attract and distract others' attentions. In my case, a homosexual man, like Rock Hudson, will let me know by the way he says my name, or the way he shakes my hand, that he is not available or attracted, and I've seen this when he is interested in my date... it's very tactful, non-intrusive, and very clear: I am homosexual. I believe after some homosexuals have employed this technique with great success, it begins to spill out of the closet, and they do not see it, nor do those inside the homosexual counter culture. I am not knocking the culture, merely pointing out that there is one, and language, beit ever so subtle, is how many people tell others, "I'm a homosexual and available, or not".

neither do I

I also believe they talk that way as part of thier counter culture, just like blacks have ebonics.

Google

Charlie Crist and The Green Iguana.

why are many gays

so insecure. They think because they are gay everyone is gay.
What happened to intellectual honesty. If you make a claim back it up with some evidence.

No really relevant

unless these people are dishonest and hypocritical about it. If they are, they deserve to be outed. It's just like Sanford bashing gay marriage and then doing what he did.

There's nothing wrong with being gay, just don't be a hypocrite
