Naomi Wolf on RT: Obama No Better. “Has the right to lock any US citizen up forever without trial”

I've watched Naomi Wolf in several other videos, and she is a good woman who thinks deeply, more deeply I might add than most of my female friends. I wish I could say something more positive, but we're in an age of Truth vs BS, and most women I know are hard core Liberals/Socialists/Leftists. Politics are not in the normal sphere of interest for most ladies, but they can be PULLED in that direction with "pandering" to a woman's need for "security". Clinton was an absolute PRO at this, and so is Obama. Bush? Who knows what he's good at?! Naomi Wolf seems to have a Socialist core, an ideal community in mind, but does not realize that governments as we know them do not deliver what serves us best,, they serve us as it suits THEM. She has come around to a Libertarian mindset, with Socialist overtones, warm and fuzzy anti-gun society notions, socialized property rights, total health care nirvana, etc. It does not play out this way, and she will hopefully see this down the road. Corruption and government are synonymous, until men and women demand excellence and impose the most serious of consequences for corruption (maybe the guillotine should be back in fashion). Naomi Wolfe also may have a "perfect" Communist scenario in mind, a system which hasn't been successful since the Native Americans ran the show in America. It failed miserably in the USSR for obvious reasons, but maybe she is a little dreamy about the Utopian nature of the concept. Either way, she can perhaps wake up the Liberal ladies and get them to think about what they are asking government to do, which is total management of one's life. They really don't know what that will look like, but they won't be happy campers if they get it. It needs to be headed off at the pass, because it won't easily be reversed by us Ron Paul fringe people if it's allowed to go much further. Russia Today is a little questionable to me, as well. I've been reading quite a few of their archive pieces and watching videos...not sure what their agenda is, but not all above board. They support Ron Paul, which is good, but still a little mystery exists as to what role they are playing.

we should be careful to not fuel the fire of political division. the war against liberty must be fought with savvy, not with rash emotions in response to someone we might view as being "THE ENEMY"! 8-)

to whatever degree, we're all striving to overthrow deception & indoctrination most of us have endured for most of our lives. Naomi Wolf is no exception -- like everyone, she is not ALL knowledgeable. she perhaps doesn't exactly understand that tyranny comes in the forms of BOTH Fascism AND Socialism.

there are a LOT of good things going on. we revolutionist and/or libertarian-minded Americans (i strive to avoid saying "libertarian" for fear of being misinterpreted to be referring to the LP) need to continue focusing on the continued effort to unite, rather than to divide.

over the past decade or so, i have learned that there is no such thing as a perfect "libertarian", nor a perfect "libertarian philosophy". from what i can tell, NOTHING in this world is perfect BECAUSE WE are not perfect.

so i advise we savvily take the good in whatever anyone says, commend them for it, and then respectfully disagree with them in regards to those things with which we simply do not agree.

"UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL" is a very true statement. if a liberty revolution is going to be successful, we have to heed this fundamental truth -- for the enemies of liberty, knowingly or not, are continuing the "divide and conquer" strategy, which is a very old and effective strategy.

Keep in mind she must stay in the Liberal Sphere to be listened too and have relevance to them. Her influence is with Liberals. To pick on Bush is fine. To not mention Ron Paul is fine. To not be perceived as a member of our R3VOLution is fine, simply because she must keep her Liberal look and feel to that Super Group. She has to be respectful of Obama, yet specific in her criticism.

this was a good interview overall... but, i have a few bones to pick with Naomi. first of all, the President doesn't have "the right" to do these things - he has the unconstitutional power.

also, she really is thickheaded to not have realized Ron Paul is who she seeks... she just has a lot of things mixed up still

Good to see her finally out criticizing the Emperor's clothes. I thought it was bunk that she ever supported him, but I suppose she had to give him a chance to see what he would actually do in office. Now she knows and its nice to see that she is calling him on it. Now if she could only get a grasp of property rights and the 2nd amendment vs. gov't control she could be a force for good.

SHe says that the foundation for fascism was laid by the Bush adminstration. Wrong. It was laid at least as far back as FDR, who based his policy on a combination of Mussolini and Stalin. It was continued, for the most part, by Democrats throughout the 20th century, and only by Republicans once they went neo-con (which to a large part was because they were former Democrats). Naomi doesn't recognize that the core problem is a people without property rights and the right to bear arms - two things she stands against. Without money and without a means of self defense, people are already slaves, regardless of what rules of evidence there are if they happen to find themselves accused of something. She goes pretty soft on Obama, also, because he is a Democrat.

have no absolute moral compass, since they don't absolutely oppose ALL coercion against peaceful people. They pick and choose what coercion is ok according to popular trends: it's ok to tax the "rich" (anyone who earns a paycheck) to give stuff to the "poor" (anyone who doesn't earn a paycheck); or to "save the environment" (whatever popular hair-brained scheme they subscribe to), educate everyone (propagandize and dumb down individuals to be "good" citizens), provide health care (state-approved monopolistic, pharmaceuticals for all),etc.
Then after building up the coercive state to provide all their fuzzy-brained programs, they are perpetually frustrated by how poorly the arrogant bureaucrats & pols they put into place perform, and always are belatedly surprised at the police state powers that (surprise!) now affect even their own ranks of well-intentioned nitwits.

Not many people have the guts to go on International television and admit they were wrong. I know she didn't say that in those words.... but this is a gal who is admitting that Obama is NOT solving these problems and is, in fact, CONTINUING the horrendous policies. ALL of her friends were and probably still are for Obama. She has got courage even if she isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

You don't have to be willing to follow everyone off a cliff just because they see the light in certain areas..... but you can admire and give credit for some courage when it appears. Peace
