Greta dares to ask the question: Why wasn't James Clapper investigated by a grand jury?

An oath is an oath. It is not an option. You swear to tell the truth, we expect you to do so and failure to do so has consequences…or at least is supposed to have consequences.

If you lie under oath about something material (not something inconsequential), you commit perjury. That is a felony.

It is that plain and simple.

The process is also plain.

If someone is suspected of lying under oath, that person is referred to a grand jury where the grand jury considers the evidence and decides whether the person should be indicted for perjury.

Politicians believe there are no consequences for destroying our liberty…

Four key lessons from 2013

January 2, 2014
Santiago, Chile

1) Politicians believe there are no consequences for destroying our liberty…

Stimulus and response. That’s the easiest way of summing this up. When politicians steal, and there are no consequences, they’re going to keep stealing.

Cyprus proved this point handily. The government froze bank accounts for everyone in the country (of course, the big bosses got their money out in time). And yet, there was no violent revolution in the streets. People just accepted it.

I just saw 7 cops in 1 HOUR

I went on a drive to get something to eat in another city. Before crossing into the next city I noticed a local cop in my rear view. I wasn't doing anything wrong, but I thought to myself well at least I'll be out of his jurisdiction soon in case he's having a bad day.

I got to the restaurant and saw a county sheriff's officer IN the restaurant. Whatever, they have to eat too! At least no robberies should happen now.
