Ron Paul's chump change

Really, it's news that only political junkies pay attention to. But it's still staggering.

The Times reported Wednesday that "Rep. Ron Paul raised more than $8 million for his presidential campaign in the last three months" from 100,000 individual donors.

And that's not all. "Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he raised more than $17 million from 22,000 donors."

Wait, there's more. Though he didn't announce a total, "a source close to the Mitt Romney campaign said the former Massachusetts governor's third-quarter fundraising take was expected to be more than $14 million."

Paul Raises $8 Million From More Than 100,000 Donors, New York Times

Representative Ron Paul of Texas raised more than $8 million in the last three months, another demonstration of the willingness of his followers to dig into their pockets.

Mr. Paul’s campaign said he received money from more than 100,000 people, almost five times the number who have contributed $17 million to Gov. Rick Perry of Texas since his entrance into the race.

Ron Paul has 5 times the number of donors as Rick Perry

Ron Paul just reported that the campaign collected over $8 million dollars from over 100,000 donors. Rick Perry collected around $15 million from around 20,000 donors.

Just goes to show who the people really support.

Romney secretly and illegally funded Perry

Note: This is the type of the scandal that the establishment press doesn't want to cover, because it takes down both frontrunners at once.

It might be hard to imagine after last week’s GOP presidential slugfest, but there was a time not too long ago when a group headed by Mitt Romney quietly—and a judge says illegally—helped Rick Perry’s political career in Texas and set the stage for his new nemesis to rise on the national stage.
And what hasn’t emerged before are court files reviewed by The Daily Beast stating that Romney was personally aware of the origins of the $1 million donation from a Texas homebuilder at the heart of the controversy, and that he discussed it with Perry’s campaign aides.

Edit - new article, additional details, may be lying under oath to cover it up :(

I received an email to donate to Obama

So last night I received an email asking for a donation to Obama. They not only had my email addy but my first and last name. Anyone have any suggestions as to how they obtained the info?
I replied asking how they got my info. Also said I would be interested in donating to a fund that was trying him for treason and that they could contact me again in that event.
Added I was not interested in supporting a man who is destroying our country.

RP Campaign Donation Letters: Can I opt out and save them some cash?

I understand that direct mailing for donations works well for most campaigns, however I have never once donated to any campaign by returning a piece of direct mail, and don't intend to do so in the future. Despite this, I have still donated to most of the recent money bombs via the campaign website, and will continue to do so until I max out or run out of money entirely... whichever comes first.

Northwest Military Publication Salutes Ron Paul

As someone who has served his country, Air Force veteran and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has some very straightforward views on the United States' involvement in the Global War on Terror.

He believes hundreds of thousands of U.S. Servicemembers have been stretched thin all across the globe in more than 135 countries - often without a clear mission, any sense of what defines victory, or the knowledge of when they'll be permanently reunited with their families.

Just got a call from the RonPaul2012 campaign . Sept 30 is deadline

Sept. 30th is the end of another quarter for calculating donations. Once again Ron Pauls money is going to be compared to the other two top tier candadites. He needs another 1.5 million by then to be in the ball park to compete.

I just went ahead and gave another $100 to the campaign. Please spread the word to those that can afford to give ASAP.

ABC News: Ron Paul Is Still Raising Big Money, But Just Who Is Giving?

Presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul is still raising big amounts of cash online.

Just this past week, the campaign raised more than $1 million through the use of “moneybombs” or one-day cash grabs.

The Sept. 17 moneybomb corresponded with the 224th anniversary of the creation of the United States Constitution.

Facebook "Like" Donation Challenge

This is my first post on the Daily Paul but I am a adamant follower of it and of the campaign, ever since 2008. I believe Dr. Paul to be correct on all the most important issues of today but I don't need to tell anyone here that.

I post today because I had an idea for fundraising but I am not very social media friendly. Meaning that I am not very good at utilizing the medium for maximum benefit. I was hoping people here could help me figure out how to spread this idea because I think it could work.
