How would this work exactly? If we were to introduce competing currencies tomorrow wouldn't that lead to dismissal of the dollar which would result in chaos all over the world including the US.
I wish Ron Paul could explain this some time, it worries me that when he introduces things like this without explaining it properly that might intimidate or alienate voters.

VIDEO Ron Paul Knocks Hannity Out Cold After Fox Debate + best of Paul in the debate.
I stumbled across this video from 2007 without knowing about the Ron Paul mention. Basically, in online multiplayer games, there are players known as "griefers." Griefers get bored with how the game is supposed to be played, so they change their objective to trying to annoy all the other players.
If you skip to about 6 minutes into the video, a player figured out how to block all the other players in the starting area. He then makes them pledge to vote for Ron Paul, state they support the gold standard, or answer a random trivia question before they can leave the room.
Tom Woods defends Ron Paul against critics who say he has misread the Constitution in holding that the federal government may make nothing other than gold and silver legal tender.
which is advertising here on the DP?
All there is, is a video about cards, with 1/2 gram of gold (approximately $30.00), then subtitles saying it is now 1 gram of gold, which is supposedly accepted as a world currency.
How much do they want one to pay for a card with 1 gram of gold (worth about $60.00) on it?
After the video, there are no links, or anything.
I figured this would be a good place to ask around as many here of the "preparedness" mindset. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, reliable, and not terribly expensive safe? It's just for storing some coins and a firearm. Willing to spend more for a quality product just don't want to break the bank (already doing that to shore up my gold position!). Thanks, DP.
Dear Dr. Paul and community. I have been following all of this for the past 4 years. I've been trying to educate myself on everything everyone posts. My question is this.
...we made things. Things that were built to last decades if not centuries. Made of the finest materials and crafted with the finest tools by the finest workers here in the home of the Industrial Revolution.
...we traded these things to a world that clamored for our products. We had vast trading surpluses that fostered true national wealth. Wealth that made it possible for a middle-class, blue-collar worker to afford a home in a nice neighborhood while his wife had the option of staying home to raise a family.
Douglas Carswell is the member of the British parliament who is fighting for competing currencies in the UK. He has introduced a bill that will do just that and it will be debated come winter time.
Lets show him some love from across the pond and 'like' him on Facebook.
Posting these highlights for anybody who didn;t see
I made this video and hope to make more in order to help people understand why gold is important.
