For what it's worth
There's something happening here.
I can’t help but think of the old Buffalo Springfield song from the Viet Nam era as I examine the 2008 presidential race.
On the Democratic side it is mostly business as usual with the candidates all spouting virtually the same message. Those who are in closest alignment with the status quo lead the parade and are doing their best to marginalize and silence those who have a differing outlook on the issues.
On the Republican side it is the same way. But there is a major difference.
Grass Roots Efforts Work - Immigration Bill DOA
An update for those who haven't heard yet - the attempt to shove an amnesty bill down the throats of Americans has failed in the U.S. Senate. The people of American rose up and faxed, called, emailed, and wrote letters to their representatives in Congress. Fearing the backlash of the people, 18 senators who previously voted yes to pass this legislation, switched their vote to "NO". Chalk one up for the people. Next on the agenda - Get Congressman Paul nominated as the Republican nominee for President.
