Representative Ron Paul of Texas raised more than $8 million in the last three months, another demonstration of the willingness of his followers to dig into their pockets.
Mr. Paul’s campaign said he received money from more than 100,000 people, almost five times the number who have contributed $17 million to Gov. Rick Perry of Texas since his entrance into the race.
The early word on third quarter fundraising numbers: The frontrunners are still the frontrunners, and the Cain surge is only belatedly being matched with money. The numbers we know:
Rick Perry - Around $17 million.
Mitt Romney - "More than $14 million."
Ron Paul - $8 million.
Herman Cain - "North of $2 million." (That's about what he did in the second quarter.)
Just reported, Ron Paul raised 8 million for 3rd quarter:

. @RonPaul about to announce he raised $8M in Q3 politi.co/nw7E0Z my scooplet on @maggiepolitico @aburnspolitico blog
I wanted to tell you all an idea that I thought of to raise money I might not otherwise have to support Dr.Paul.
I'm hoping you might team up together with someone like I have that's a supporter as well. Together you can accomplish good things if you work with each others talents and or resources.
I got an email from Ron last night asking for a final donation before the quarter ends. He said they might hit $8M! The news is saying $5M. That's a big difference and could potentially beat Perry. Did anyone else get that, or see anything about it in the news? I hope it's true...
Just came across this site. You sell coffee to make money and there are NO upfront costs. Plus you can say what you want on the labels..You need to have a minimum of 25 people sell 10 bags then you make $1250 profit. It is Java Joe Coffee. In a big city this would probably work well. Just an idea.
A grassroots campaign is trying to put together a sign bomb for Oct 10. You can view the website here, http://www.ronpaulsignbomb.com/index.html.
Don't hesitate to participate. I signed up as a local coordinator for my county. (Scott MN- we still need participants!). If you do the same contact your local media, newspapers, etc. Get coverage.
For sign ideas, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYuTa6ByIa4
I got this e-mail, apparently from Michele Obama begging for $3.00 today:
Not everyone knows how to prepare for a dinner like this. As someone who's eaten countless meals with my husband, I want to tell you the one thing to do if you're selected to join him...
Just relax. Barack wants this dinner to be fun, and he really loves getting to know supporters like you.
I hope you'll take him up on it before Friday's deadline.
Will you donate $3 or more today and be entered to have dinner with Barack?
This article is spreading to every major news outlet...
WASHINGTON (AP) — Only three Republican presidential candidates are worth any money — campaign money, that is. Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Ron Paul have banked millions. But the other GOP candidates are struggling or broke, putting their candidacies in question four months before the first nominating contests take place.
Paul's campaign asked supporters to celebrate the Texas congressman's Aug. 20 birthday with a donation — and they gave him $1.6 million on that day alone. It's a pattern for Paul, who can seemingly turn on the money spigot when he needs to; his loyal libertarian backers have delivered like that on five occasions, to the tune of a million or more at a time.
The rest of the field lags far, far behind.
Read more here:
"Perry’s backers have pegged his target at $10 million to $15 million, although his success will be judged in part by how much he raises outside Texas, where he is governor. Romney, meanwhile, is expected to post a similarly substantial sum, but aides cautioned that he was unlikely to surpass the $18 million he reported for the last quarter."
On the main page of http://www.ronpaul2012.com/ we see the ticker at only 277,000, and we only have till Friday to get towards the 1.5 mil the thermometer goes up to.
The freaks are hitting the DP hard! They are posting all kinds of inflammatory things, hoping to take over this board. And they are doing it! Lately, the top of 'Active Forums' seems to always have a negative thread title going.
To hell with them, lets raise some money!!!
