You're not looking at the State here that elected him to office. They certainly can recall him. You're trying to apply what the House or Senate can do once he's in office, which is different from the recall procedure within the state.

I didn't get that at all. It's a common practice in Congress to tell them they can't talk about it, if it's deemed Confidential. Did you notice that he said he WAS talking about the way the NDAA and Patriot Act violate the Constitution a year ago? That is the issue he's trying to handle, Stay on point.
He did neither because it would have distracted away from the issue which was the violation of the 4th amendment by the NSA. "hero" and "traitor" are talking points being used to sway public opinion away from the issue.
