NYT: Romney Failing to Excite Base

OSKALOOSA, Iowa - Presidential candidates are again marshaling their forces to win Iowa, which is up for grabs in November. Mitt Romney, eager to capture a state President Obama carried four years ago, is planning another visit on Tuesday as he bulks up his existing 11 field offices to compete with Mr. Obama's 17.

But as he strides toward the traditional show of party unity at the Republican convention this month, Mr. Romney faces a worrisome undercurrent here: that the grass-roots elements who animated the Iowa caucuses - including evangelical Christians, Ron Paul supporters and Tea Party members - are not fully behind his candidacy in a battle that will be determined partly on who turns out his party's base.

Here we go again... the fbi describes 'soveriegn-citizen extremists' on their website... here are a few indicators that they might be talking with a violent extremist:

Sovereign citizens often produce documents that contain peculiar
or out-of-place language. In some cases, they speak their own
language or will write only in certain colors, such as in red crayon.
Several indicators can help identify
these individuals.

Presidential Appointees No Longer Need to be Confirmed by Senate

UPDATE: The House passed the legislation Tuesday night by a vote of 261-116. The bill now goes to President Obama’s desk for his signature.

The House of Representatives is set to consider legislation Tuesday that would exempt certain presidential appointees from having to be confirmed by the Senate.

But a number of conservative groups are arguing that the “Presidential Efficiency and Streamlining Act” amounts to Congress neutering itself and giving the executive branch unprecedented power. Presidential appointees that would no longer require Senate confirmation under the legislation include the treasurer of the United States and the deputy administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.

“The United States Constitution does not bestow kingly powers on the President to appoint the senior officers of the government with no process,” wrote Thomas McClusky, the senior vice president for the Family Research Council’s legislative arm, in a Monday memo to lawmakers.

Members of Congress and Obama Administration Openly Commit Felonies

The US has already delivered 'non-lethal' aid to the rebels in Syria. They intend on further aiding the opposition even after being unable to do so through the UN.

It has been widely reported that Alqaeda is fighting alongside the opposition. It is unclear how large of a presence they have among the opposition, but no secret they are there.

So after 11 years of fighting these people in Afghanistan...why would we send them aid in Syria??? Why is our media reporting statements from the rebels like they are fact? And why are those involbed not charged with the offense of: Providing Material Support to Terrorists

Gov Mcdonell sees Paul platform influence

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell said the rise of the tea party and Rep. Ron Paul’s supporters within the Republican Party will push the GOP platform this year to focus more on matters such as the deficit and constitutional liberties.

But Mr. McDonnell, head of the platform committee, would not commit to a provision requiring an audit of the Federal Reserve — a chief goal of supporters of Mr. Paul and his son, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, and one that was backed by nearly every Republican in the House on Wednesday.

DHS instructs to run, hide, or as a last resort fight. Improvise weapons like a chair or fire extinguisher. But only if YOUR life is in danger and you can't run or hide. We don't need any heroes now. Are Top Republicans Out to Derail Romney Nomination?

Are Top Republicans Out to Derail Romney's
July 22, 2012 By Joe Rothstein
Editor, EINNEWS.com

About this time four years ago, Hillary Clinton’s supporters were still hoping for a late-breaking game changer that would tip the delegate board and derail Barack Obama before the Democratic convention. Like the Clinton supporters four years ago, many Republican leaders and activists have not given up the idea of a last minute reprieve from a Mitt Romney candidacy.

Yes, Romney has enough delegate commitments to be nominated.

Obama: Assault Rifles belong on battlefield. I thought this was the battlefield?

It look like President Obama has reversed his stance on gun control.

Apparently assault rifles belong on the battlefield of war. But, I thought America was the battlefield?? At least thats what Senator Graham said when he argued to do away woth the 5th amendment and allow the military to act against our own citizens.

And isn't that the reason military drones need to be flying overhead?

DC: Harry Reid Now Defined as a Boring Sexual Position

Ladies and gentlemen, do your significant others a favor and try not to pull a “Harry Reid” when you get home at night.

Thanks to Urban Dictionary —a site where users submit definitions for slang terms —the Senate majority leader’s name now means a boring sexual position, the Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported.

“Harry Reid” is defined as: “A sexual position where you climb on top and then do absolutely nothing.”

The site helpfully uses the term in a sentence, “I spent so long trying to talk her into bed that when I finally got on, I pulled a ‘Harry Reid’ and fell asleep.”
