At what point should a new law be made?

According to the media this year is the worst year we ever had in congress because they passed the least amount of laws ever, or something like that.

Tell a democrat that obomacare is bad and he will tell you the republicans didnt pass a law and obomacare is better than nothing.

Philosophically the left thinks new laws are always good things, but as we know law always demands the use of force, so at what point is it okay for the government to use force? Who am I kidding often the left and right think the new laws are almost always good.

Florida arrested and Prosecuted Homeschooling family who obeyed the letter of the law

A War on HomeSchooling

As a parent, you rest in knowing that you are the one to make choices for your children and your family. You have the unique ability to know your children better than anyone else and to manage your home in the way that best suits your family’s needs, beliefs and well being. This is a freedom that all parents should have, the freedom to raise their children in a safe, nurturing environment but this is a freedom that is currently being attacked in one family in Tallahassee, FL by the State of Florida.

How Do Court Reporters Keep Straight Faces?

These are from a book called Disorder in the Courts and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while the exchanges were taking place.

ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning?
WITNESS: He said, 'Where am I, Cathy?'
ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you?
WITNESS: My name is Susan!
ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact?
WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reeboks.

Rand Paul is not a Berzerker. Get Over it!

A berzerker in this context is someone who fights everyone that disagrees with them.

I am sick and tired of someone posting something about Rand Paul and next thing you know a bunch of people are talking about how he is not doing enough, or how he should not ally himself with a rino, or a democrat. Or that hes a traitor because some news caster took something he said out of context. Or why he isnt Filibustering something that every other senator is voting for.

If Homeschoolers Controlled Every Seat on a School Board What Would they do?

In the last year Homeschooling has grown 7 percent, if it continues to grow sooner or later homeschoolers will have to slay the dragon. I believe one day in the next few years Homeschoolers will be a big enough voting block in some county some where in this country that they will have the drive and the numbers to vote in Home School parents in every seat on the county school board. When that happens what changes can be expected.

Rand Paul won't back Lindsey Graham for re-election

The disagreements between Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are no secret. The two have clashed on various political issues, most notably on foreign policy, highlighting the gap between the new faces in the Republican Party and the Old Guard establishment that almost always chooses politics over principle.

The Republic is Dead! I wonder when it will be official.

When the supreme court struck down proposition 8 they let the country know who is boss. Whether or not you agree with the morality of gay marriage or the recognition of gay marriage by the state or federal government is irrelevant. Prop 8 was passed as an commandment of the constitution in the state of California, and the supreme court along with many federal courts of appeals overturned a constitutional amendment that was passed legally, simply because it was their whim.
